You are making two incredibly massive ignorant assumptions in here.Non-person fetus life should never precede over functional member of society.
This is dumbest statement ever.
If there is sufficient danger to mother's life or future reproductive capabilities - fetus should be always yeeted. Non-person fetus life should never precede over functional member of society.
And keep early stage abortions at will for teens.
Because any radical ban of abortions result in... resurgence of dangerous underground abortions. Every fucking time, no exceptions. Limit allowed scope to something reasonable and it'll be fine. Also never criminalize it like kurwa retards did.
Not everyone agrees with that perspective. There are many women who still value love, connection, and mutual care in relationships with men. I’m tired of the assumption that everyone thinks or should act the same. It's extremely rare that a fetus is going to endanger pregnancy. An ectopic pregnancy would never be viable in the first place, and requires surgery, not a d & c. Face it, >98% of abortions are for the convenience of the mother, no more no less. Remember the original pro-abortion chant, cause I do: "Safe Legal Rare", well, it sure ain't rare.
As far as teens are concerned, how about we teach them to keep their fucking legs shut if they can't be bothered to use the myriad of contraceptive methods at their disposal?
If you are mature enough to fuck, you better be mature enough to accept the consequences. They got Plan B now, there shouldn't be any real good reason for the millions of abortions going on, except for pure stupid laziness or selfishness. Ask my brother, who's ex-wife, without his input whatsoever, aborted their child. So, yeah, it's personal. You want a trade-off? Keep abortions, get rid of child support.

I get called a nazi for having the apparently unreasonable take that maybe we should reconsider late term abortions of viable babies. It's extremely rare that a fetus is going to endanger pregnancy. Yes, because how much there were dangerous illegal ones. You can't just forbid it and expect everything will be fine. Yeah, there might be more kids, but half of that surplus will be orphans or in poverty and abuse. It's extremely rare that a fetus is going to endanger pregnancy. It can turn into a very unethical slope, when country is desperate for young blood. See what happens in russia now: first restricted abortions, then they want to prohibit doctors from informing about even valid dangers of pregnancy (and even any private talk about any difficulties of pregnancy and childbirth whatsoever!) , prohibit any advertisement if contraceptives and sexed in schools, ban contraceptive pills and IUDs... Yep, they actually want to incite teenage pregnancies now. Many of these newborns will be orphans, but most orphanages are pipelined into the army now.If you are mature enough to fuck, you better be mature enough to accept the consequences. You are making a huge assumption here and your example on Russia is an edge case.Yes, because how much there were dangerous illegal ones. You can't just forbid it and expect everything will be fine. Yeah, there might be more kids, but half of that surplus will be orphans or in poverty and abuse.

It's a trend. Russia is an edge case at a moment indeed, but previous edge case was poland where doctors were mass declining valid cases of abortion in fear or criminal charges. You are making a huge assumption here and your example on Russia is an edge case.
As politsperging is an ongoing thing, while I appreciate it in the Pippa thread as a distraction from @Realticule & @thhrang flirting, it wouldn't hurt to rename and keep it open to contain it away from the other threads.I implore @The Proctor to not lock the thread just yet. The House (a very important part of our government) is still up in the air, and we may not have a good sense of where it will be until probably another month.
Also, I'm enjoying the Saruei posting.
Or, we draw a line in the sand and prosecute the termination of viable babies as homicide. That might curtail frivolous abortions. Where do we find the middle ground? It's a trend. There are better ways to combat frivolous abortions. Like, if wife abort without husband's consent she automatically lose property dispute in divorce, or get's her share hard limited waaaay below 50%. Or banning them from adoption. Or maybe subsidize mortgage (at least regulate interest rates) for both families and loners, to lessen financial burden. And make free, available kindergartens. You could crank down on abortions, but you must simultaneously shell out billions every year on positive incentives.
