The problem is that the only time there is ever any kind of push back is when it's your oshi's reputation being sullied.
If I cried foul at people insulting, making up things and being downright slanderous towards Elira in the past year, should I expect moderator action to be taken? No, I would be laughed in the face for that.
Why does discourse about Kirsche get policed in an entirely different manner?
If I say Elira is the driving force behind Niji's downfall and she does onlyfans on the side. - That's a rrat and my opinion.
If I say Kirsche's actions are actively politicizing and thus worsening the VTuber space. - That's a lie and actionable?
This is a false equivalency. Elira's actions tangibly drove Nijisanji's reputation into the ground and her blackscreen stream was probably the greatest PR blunder in the entire history of vtubing. I have no idea about the onlyfans stuff. Maybe you just invented that for the sake of example, either way; if it's true and backed up by evidence then it's not a rrat. The only rrats about Elira out there are the exact degree to which she is involved in NijiEN management. The existence of her clique is attested to by multiple sources and extensive analysis. Debunking it would require a vast amount of counter evidence and receipts.
Discourse about Kirsche is not policed. It is the opposite of policed. All that ever happens when lies about her are shared is that a few people bother to correct them. Besides that, she is not actively politicizing and thus worsening the VTuber sphere in any way; she is exposing the politization that already existed and had virtually unchallenged control over the medium for an extensive period of time. Meanwhile, she actively tells her fans NOT to bring up politics in other streamer's chats and has a ban-on-sight policy for anyone who does.
