I know this turned into a whole debate over a whole bunch of other unrelated philosophy bullshit but that has nothing to do with my point so I'll just reply to this.

It doesn't, but who else am I supposed to trust about the things actually happening in the company? Random people online? Most of which have proven they don't care or are actively spreading misinformation? Dramafags? Who have a monetary incentive and yet have also produced zero insider info?

My point is that nobody in the web knows what goes on inside Cover other than the talent, everyone else just makes their opinions based on a tiny fragment of what has been said by a talent or the company and a whole heap of speculation, assumptions and many times, bullshit they pulled out of their asses.

There's so much falseflagging and shitstirring these days that you can't ever know if the person you're chatting with is acting in good faith or not, so to me the only way to truly know anything is simply to take it from the source and be as critical as possible of all theories.

Pretty sure that this was getting discussed or talked about in JP. Even if the corporation owns the character, that once that character leaves, the person who played it should be able to use or reference their time as that character.

Even Sakana talked about it being retarded not to have control over IP as you lose any and all control over the talent.

How many times have you seen that get posted here talking about things being great and fun and suddenly they hit you with a graduation 1 month down the line because the corporation has been harassing and abusing them? Its not about "who hurt you" and more about "this shit has happened so much that it should be the norm" unless proven otherwise.

Depends as its two different platforms and more often than not there is little overlap. Hell even with people that have over 100k subscribers on Youtube and do streaming on Twitch the numbers don't overlap. Case in point purple Keemstar. His videos get a ton of traction on youtube but his streams on Twitch get low 3-view numbers.

Yeah that's the thing.

When the talents say something bad, or their words are misconstrued or taken out of context to be negative (like with Lamy that one time) EVERYONE AND THEIR MOTHER is there with a microphone to broadcast the negativity as much as possible.

When the talents say something good, and tell people they, AT THAT TIME, aren't planning on going anywhere. They are suddenly big liars being manipulated by the corporate bureaucracy or the investors or what have you.

It's a very blatant double standard and I don't feel like getting berated for believing them in BOTH instances instead of just whichever fits my current narrative.
