Not really if you can actually use knives. Ideally, you just maintain the edge with musat while using proper cutting boards (obviously not the wallpiece from merch drop).
Even in case of major resharpening, you don't remove that much material.
Get a sharpening steel and learn to use it. You'll have to actually sharpen your knives a lot less often (honing with a steel realigns the edge without removing much if any material compared to a stone)
