FF8 is just straight up bad though. Art design and music are still really good, but the plot is just.... not great.

Why are they in a school, Nojima?

I kind of like what FFVIII tried with the game systems even if ultimately it ended up broken almost as much as FFII's system (and people like Spoony misrepresenting it or "expert" recommendations to play it in a non-standard way - i.e. by keeping the level deliberately low to avoid boss and enemy scaling up - don't help either). The setting was good, but its story and how it was focused was garbage (still entertaining though).

Fauna, Pippa and Kirsche all joke about keeping spreadsheets on their viewers, unprompted, while also knowing a liiittle bit too much about their fans; Muyu admits that she hunts down people's accounts on other sites by following shared e-mail addresses; Mint has been caught out multiple times about secretly watching fan social media accounts over her career; and that's just the chuubas that immediately come to mind.

Flayon was able to match people who went to his M&Gs to chatters just from hearing how they talked before they revealed their usernames. I can buy him spreadsheeting everyone who shows up in his chat or twitter.

We are getting dangerously close to a Pippa plushie with real meat inside and it's bit concerning

Putting meat in a plushie is just a waste of meat. Especially in this economy.
