Hype. I discovered that song through Vesper's cover and fell in love with it. NijiJP's Joe Rikiichi did a good cover too, of the longer version.
Kinda curious how Calli's voice will work with this song, but I'm sure she'll make it work. It definitely fits thematically - it's basically about a god of death being unimpressed with a doomed soul's begging for mercy.

I didn't see it mentioned here but gura got her 2.0 update and I still can't believe that the face of EN vtubing has such a stiff model. I know the girl has spent half her time in holo in rehab or taking care of her kid but it's insane to me it took them this long to update her model.
I'm going to disagree with you here, Rie wasn't a bad choice for first guest. She does a lot of behind-the-scenes work for the music production, and she's got a lot of songs on her channel. I actually felt Rie was underutilized - I would have had her talk a bit after each song. After her own songs, she could have talked a bit about how she approached making the song, whether it be what inspired her or what goes into making an original song, whatever. After another person's song, she could have talked about what she really liked about the song, what it did well, or if she was involved in any behind-the-scenes production.
The format does need work though. I hope Rie can come on another time when they improve it.
I think it will go well, she has one of the deepest voices among the EN girls after all and it's a very "uncluttered" melody for lack of a better word. If anything, the problems with the songs they give her are often that they go unnecessarily high for her most comfortable range and that the way they mix the electronic instrumentation tends to drown her voice out.
Come to think of it, I'd love to hear Unnämed take a crack at this one.

I think Rie is an unlikable cunt but she's a talented unlikable cunt. My main point was that she has a new show that obviously has a couple of episodes to solidify an audience and the woman decided to bust her kneecaps. Bring someone who is a bit more popular to get eyes on the show. Pick tenma, lumi, anyone who is a guaranteed hit, don't pick someone who is just kinda there. Because I also wanted to shit on Dizzy more accurately and honestly, I decided to burn 30 minutes listening to the first episode(not doing it again dear god). The voice is so fake is not even funny. She has a lower voice by default but this radio host voice with her cadence is not radio host sex, it's bad hotline operator. The time she spoke it was just bad phase world fanfiction as if you somehow managed to tune in into phase world. I like the idea and I could see it working if she goes full autismo on phase world but there's no meat. It was just that and then she decided to fuck off and leave with nonstop music. Agreed. I know hating Rie is a meme here but I think she did a good job and it was interesting to hear a bit of the behind-the-scenes stuff she had to share.
Well, it's not just the deepness of the voice. The original singer has this bitter and sarcastic tone that helps set the, well, tone of the song. Callie's voice might be deep but it still has a sweetness to it that wouldn't be a good fit for the song unless she can really dial up the meanness somehow.
