That's absolutely horrifying and seems to be a escalation which isn't good. Girl better stay strapped.
GATE was poorly run, TBH. I was in it, and all I remember being given was "advanced" Greek and Roman mythology coursework alongside astronomy coursework. Most of the kids there watched documentaries for childhood entertainment, so most of that info was redundant, and I found these lectures just as boring as the classroom lectures. The only highlight was a few extra field trips to the science museum, which were keno, and they occasionally gave the teachers harder homework packets to send us home with, so we didn't just finish the month's worth of homework in the first few days.
