Michi is taking a break for a while.

She talked about this on a recent stream, here are the

- going on break for about three weeks
- two weeks are for medical reasons
- she will stay in hospital and have routine check-ups as well as scheduled treatments
- one of the things she will get done is Botox for her bruxism (on recommendation from melody, since she has the same)
- one week will be as a buffer for potential complications and to spend time with family

- jumping off of the botox thing, she said she likes when people have some wrinkles
- if Matara went for women, Michi would have slid in those DMs the day they met

- the time she got grief from some antis Kuro, then Mysta, stood up for her publicly and privately
- initially she was mad at him for making himself a target for her sake and she yelled at him
- when he didn't back down and said something along the lines of "I don't care if I get hate because of this" she slowly started to see that he might just be nice

- the rest of the stream was some fucking Roblox children's brainrot

This AI discussion is pretty simple. If you're not crediting nor reimbursing the original artists that were fed to create the model, it's shit, much more in the case of a multimillionaire company. If you think JP doesn't give a shit, check with them what they have to say about the new Black Jack manga using AI.
Get a cheap stock background, you have hundreds of thousands of them at a short cost because Japan was an art powerhouse for decades, so many people doing VN backgrounds during the 2005-2015 boom.
This is a Holo L and if you think otherwise you're sperging on the fact that annoying art like architecture is too expensive - that I agree for most part, but they could just hire a cheap SEA/ukranian monkey and make everyone happy, even if the background wasn't a masterpiece, because as you said, it would be there for only 5 seconds.

The impact a single artist has on a typical generative AI model is so miniscule it's hard to consider it worth it. You look at tools like NovelAI that scrape entire boorus for their machine learning system to comb through and it feels absurd to suggest someone deserves attribution and compensation for contributing one-zillionth of the reference material.

Counterpoint, sites that sell cheap stock image stuff are being flooded with AI generated stuff. Could have been a stock image purchase without looking over it for typical AI gen giveaways.

If they missed a melting AI background then their oft talked about "We need to consult the rules" or "We need to consider how X will look" process is all just for show.
