I thought this Tekken stuff was a big deal for Rosemi, especially after getting Sajam's eyes on her, why does it seem like she's intentionally throwing?

Also a manager with a UK accent means that they have been hiring english native managers, which is an incredibly good thing for branch health, as opposed to hiring a bunch of bilingual nips who can't properly understand the westoid perspective, live hours away in the other side of the world and end up creating all kinds of issues in translation.

The UK accent manager lives in Japan from what she said, and I think that's been a requirement for most cover staff jobs I've seen posted, so I don't know about not living there. But yeah the contrast with Black Company X is glaring....

One thing from fighting games is that they dig deep into your ego, and if you have any resguard for your "influence" or "respect" you try to protect it with all might.
The comedy in that is that only amateurs or somewhat immature people try to do that, as it's counterproductive: you need to allow yourself to get punched to the ground to get better, it is a pretty masochistic process all things considered, but the journey is where the fun is.
So I'd guess she wants to save face for womanly reasons or anything wrong in her brain, which makes she looks really bad because Vivi and all the other participants are doing their best, even Lily almost screaming slurs when fighting King.
I think @Shuba Saber competed as well so he might put it in better words, but that's how it is for me at least.

You said it accurately. The main thing about fighting games is that at the end of the day, you only have yourself to blame for whatever happens. What separates a decent mindset from an amateur one is how well someone can accept that. Amateur players will always shift the blame elsewhere. Maybe the room was too hot/cold for their hands, maybe they were hungry or didn't sleep well, maybe the connection was bad, etc etc etc. Instead of focusing on what to improve, they convince themselves that they would have won if circumstances were different. It's cheesy as fuck to say, but it is honestly a constant battle against yourself. You have to put your ego in check and accept that the person you lost to was just better than you that day. And it's up to you to figure out why and what you can do better next time. It's not easy to do and even the pro players slip up often. I know I did as well back when I played professionally.

I haven't been watching but if Rosemi wasn't playing her main character at all, then it's likely she psyched herself out before it even started. She's always been known as a huge Tekken fan and even had Harada himself watching her streams. I imagine the pressure of that reputation + regular FGC fans watching must have gotten to her mentally. This is her first tournament in Tekken 8 right? I can see her trying to cope with all of it by trying to not take it seriously and just have fun. Not to mention Nijisanji exploding must have stressed her out even more. It's not a good look though when everyone else is doing their best, including another person from the same company. It really sucks to hear and the whole experience might hamper her desire to enter another tournament. But maybe that's for the best.
