Clip of the Kuro stream. This is Kuro's own clip channel, so you can be reasonably confident that it's cut without losing any of the important context:

Definitely some strange aspects to his graduation but I think they are probably secondary issues.
I think the strange aspects of it are mostly because Niji shifted to "no drama ever if possible" route which in turn just causes more speculation and drama. Also doesn't help Niji has negative good will so people are going to assume the worst possible outcome over something more reasonable.

Honestly though it seems pretty clear that Ike wanted out and Niji gave him exactly what he wanted, not much to complain about. Definitely some strange aspects to his graduation but I think they are probably secondary issues.
If I could have a smol, tiny, little, innocent rat... I think Ike felt guilty for shitting on Selen by proxy and that slowly ended fucking him up beyond return.

more likely it's the sex pest stuff.

I still wonder how many people knew the exact full extent of what Selen and Sayu went through I doubt it was many if at all much easier to live with yourself for being ignorant of the situation

Though i do agree it's probably just the constant wear down on being in a shit company

- Ike didn't do this just randomly, but he's been thinking about this for a long time, even before Niji. It's something that is about him personally and not only about his current circumstances
It's not to do with the corpo, it's something personal to him"

Even without the stream, I've shown that his spotty streaming schedule was a thing way before Selen day.

I dont think Niji's rep going down the shitter weighing down on him is that bad of a speculation, even if his own words indicate its beyond that, but i dont think it would be too far fetched to think it could've contributed to him managing to outlast his brainworms or not

I know you have musophobia but Superduper is right. The Selen debacle and its fallout could easily have been one more brainworm to the steaming pile that was his mental.

Could this just be him finishing out his contract and they are cutting him loose without a graduation stream? Lux debuted Dec 2021. I assume they actually signed their contracts mid 2021. He'd be about done with his second 2-year contract around now give or take a few months.

Pomu made comments around her graduation and redebut implying she'd only just found out what was going on and who was involved. She still got pretty close with Matara afterwards who had been doing things with Elira etc a little beforehand, so I don't think the full extent of Selengate was something widely known within Niji EN. Or at least that if you had no reason to be participating in it then the whole thing was private enough & Niji's channels discrete enough that you wouldn't have the opportunity to see it until the story broke and everyone started panicking.
If Selen contributed to Ike's graduation at all I'd think it would only go so far as the career damage giving him less incentive to come out of his depressive spirals and stay with the company rather than indulging the intrusive thoughts to leave the Internet.

Kuro stream notes:
- Anything he said on twitter, anything he said on the stream is stuff he got approved by Ike, he's not talking out of line
- Talked to him twice in the last two weeks specifically about this and several times more since the time they met in Japan
- Only knew about how soon it was going to go down very suddenly, probably this week
- "He doesn't want to be online right now, he said it in his message", the letter is something that Kuro and Ike discussed
- Kuro didn't know how deep the letter was going to go into his mental health issues, so the hanging Frieren tweet was made as a reply to the Niji announcement without reading the personal message by Ike, which he thought would go up later when Ike wakes up
- "I told him: dude you're depressed as shit, I don't want you to kill yourself" "and he said: don't worry, it's nothing like that" which is another reason he was comfortable using the suicide joke to talk about this, but he doesn't blame anyone for getting mad since they don't know and he accepts that the tweet was with bad timing
- Ike not joining VShojo
- Kuro says he was also thinking of deleting the Mysta vods, so he gets where Ike is coming from, but they are different and although Mysta was able to be convinced to leave the vods, the same is not the case for Ike
- Ike didn't do this just randomly, but he's been thinking about this for a long time, even before Niji. It's something that is about him personally and not only about his current circumstances
- "I told him: somewhere down the line, you can always come back" and Ike said he doesn't even want to think about coming back for now, he just wants to leave the internet for however long is necessary to fix his shit
- Kuro will check in with him from now on as well
- He doesn't think it needs to be blamed on anyone or anything, at least not until he comes out with his side
- "He wanted to stop doing shit, so he did so. Even though it included a lot of drastic measures like deleting the vods and everything instantly, it's what he wanted." "If that is what he needs to live comfortably, then I'd rather he vanish from the internet than get messed up as a person"
- He agrees with everything Ike told him and his decision and the amount of time he took to arrive there
- He got permission to answer questions
- "Will he ever come back?" Kuro's suggestion was to just completely leave for 6 months and not to think about anything else and see from there
- "Burnout is a good way to describe it but there is a lot more nuance to that"
- "He said he want's to get away from everything, including discord." "I'm not sure I'm gonna get a response for at least a couple of weeks" "He wants this, he wants to get away from everything to figure his shit out"
- "No graduation stream?" "Yeah, he didn't want to do that. Maybe you think of it as selfish, but there are reasons why he has done things the way he's done them" "It's not to do with the corpo, it's something personal to him"
- He is encouraging people to find him should he ever return.
- He didn't know that the others weren't told about Ike leaving and he doesn't know why. He's sure Ike has his reasons.
- If Ike tells him anything that is alright to relay, Kuro will update on his status

I put a lot of shit in "", but I still paraphrased so don't hold me to accuracy. The meaning is the same though.
If anyone has doubts about what I wrote here or what he said, watch the vod, it's in the first hour, most of it in the first 30 minutes. If the vod goes down, I have a backup.
He talks with authority and without second guessing, I have no reason to believe he is lying.

I'll probably watch the Michi vod later to see if she had something to say.

tl;dr

So first Gura gives a 2 week notice and now Ike quits on the spot. EN grads are beginning to poison the well.

I actually liked Ike. Dude recognized the TCB family members, did JP/EN event hosting duty and they had a interesting streams/songs. At least he didn't pull a Sonny
Bro didn't spread his legs for Millie and Enna. Honor killing was admissible.
Knowing their PL it's endlessly amusing that anyone thinks they are some social masterminds.

Feel free to continue arguing but it's pretty futile especially if posters are getting on your nerves. I suggest you read scuttle's posts from the homeland to understand how futile it is to defend Niji and that was before Selen. Dude eventually fucked off because he found it too annoying.

Yeah, it's looking more and more likely this was a case of DFE: Vtuber Edition. Dude probably hated the spotlight, but he was part of the most successful Niji wave. Not at all unlike Gura's reason for leaving (absentee streamer, couldn't handle fame)
Hey, what's going on with Re;born?

Hey, what's going on with Re;born?
Lets not rewrite forum spergery now, Niji did become the unfair punching bag due to alot of reasons even pre Selen shock but some people like Scuttle were also content to be smug about NijiJP getting certain perks that Holo didnt really get, or the smuggery about the 3D models. It was mutual shitflinging at some point and not just posters being mean to the little nijifags

Daily reminder of Scuddle walls of texts always hidden with a smug message about some Holo Problem

I oft think Kuro is dumb, but I can't ever really recall him being dishonest. Going to believe the summary @VSoyBoy posted, thanks for the write-up.

Furthermore, Ike was part of NijiEN's golden generation. Sure they lost a lot of their luster, but they still probably moved favorably for Ike, especially with trying to keep a low drama policy.

I'm a Doki fan, I have no reason to think Niji is in good faith, but it is both the simplest and most supported idea for Ike's graduation.

No, the timing and suddenness of the graduation were both Ike's doing.
It might be close to the end date of whatever contract he was in, but Kuro has been clear that the time he has been gone was him thinking and debating on what to do and not him waiting out a contract.
Since Kuro also only found out about how soon it was going to go down very recently, I could imagine Ike chose to get it over with in April to lessen the blow somewhat since April was already shaping up to be a disaster for fans.

Strategically, fitting it between Mumei's and Gura's graduation was a good move if you wanted to get out without too much drama.
