I'm going to ignore the back-and-forth about politisperging and culture war shit in vtubing because I've already posted about it before, and I don't care to waste my time when this debate never changes anything when people decide to timeloop it.

What I will say is that I highly doubt Western vtubing is going anywhere. Even with more and more culture war shit popping up, there will always exist different vtubers for whatever people are looking for. I'm not against some pushback against retards like this tranny trying to come in and dictate how things should be, but I see no reason to get so doomer about it and going so far to think retards like this are going to destroy any side of vtubing.

People keep bringing up the gaming industry and Gamergate, and my question to those would be if they've had nothing new to play in the last 10 years or so? Nothing has come out that you've enjoyed or have positive opinions on? Sure, the big AAA companies have been pushing retarded "woke" shit, and those big AAA companies are being mocked constantly and are losing money. Many of these releases have been panned and viciously mocked. Concord? Assassin's Creed: Black Samurai? Dragon Age: Non-Binary Edition? Along with being completely shit on, many of the spergs involved in these types of games have been getting laid off and companies shut down. Meanwhile, smaller companies or even individuals have continued putting out fun games that people continue to enjoy without any of this cringe shit and plenty have been rewarded for these efforts. Palworld? Balatro? Deep Rock Galactic? The industry keeps chugging along. Again, I'm all for mocking and shaming the retards that are trying to change the industry for the worse, but I'm also not going to doom-and-gloom all the time over the state of the gaming industry when I personally have zero issue finding newer games to play and have fun with along with my endless backlog of older games.

Same is to be said for Western vtubing.

Yearly $60 games with $60 of extra map pack DLC, season passes on season passes of basically essential content, awful reboots of older franchises, games getting more and more dumbed down and simplified, PC-centered franchises getting gutted and streamlined to hit the console market, AA getting basically obliterated cause it wasn't worth doing at the time, companies killing franchises left and right for not hitting utterly absurd sales goals, aggressive console exclusivity, Xbox charging $15 a month to play fucking multiplayer, MMOs that needed you to drop $120 on previous expansions plus a monthly sub to catch up, etc., etc..
