I saw a couple of her streams back in HoloMyth's heydey (2020-early 2021) and she's a talented streamer. It's a damn shame she didn't realize that potential these past few years with long ass hiatuses. She could have been an unironic ultrastar on the same wavelength as streamers like Ninja and Pewdiepie (popularity wise) on top of her great singing voice. Oh well.
If Ohtani gets injured in tonight's game while Gura is streaming, then we're dealing with some voodoo shit.

Let me just say...
It was about time. I've been joking around and trolling about Gura graduating and here we are. She's a fucking talented vtuber, every stream she has you'll never know what she'll do. She has that gremlin energy, that quick wit and dumb brain which made her very, very entertaining and beloved by so many. You don't get to 3 million subs in a year (even with the Covid buff) if you're not fucking entertaining.
But alas, life is a fickle bitch. Her health deteriorated to the point that she needs to go on hiatus multiple times. Coupled with the fact how her projects just keeps getting cancelled and that takes a toll on someone. Her being removed as an ambassador should've been a major hint. Still, I'm betting on her going the affiliate route, going back for one-offs and just taking care of her goddamn life until she can return to streaming. She admitted that she loves doing this in Hololive so we'll just wait and see.
The chumbuds are another story though. Those guys are God's Most Loyal Schizos, not on the level of KFP but damn, they are annoying and degenerate as fuck (see: Nolan). I will not be surprised that after the announcement is made we will be having our very first mass suicide. Good riddance to them if they do it though, that's a lot less retarded degenerate in the fandom.
So in conclusion, 2024 was Niji taking the trophy for Corpo Drama of The Year. It's looking like as early as April, Hololive will be winning that trophy. Brave can surely give Holo a run for its money if the inner rumblings are to be true.

Everyone, including chumbuds, have been waiting for a couple years for the other shoe to drop, so this isn't really a huge surprise. But of course there will be those here that have to take their victory lap and get another jab in on Gura and/or the chumbuds. Especially with /vt/ down right now, I hope they lock new registrations for a day or two as I'm sure they'll flock to places like TVA to be extra toxic about it.
Even though Gura barely streamed anymore, this just feels like a big turning point. She was who got me into vtubing and just watching livestreams/lets plays in general. Before her and my fall down the rabbit hole, that never interested me. I guess I have bad luck at picking oshis, but along with her my favorites were probably Fauna and Mumei, so fml. I enjoy some of the others in the new gens (Biboo, Ceci, etc) and watch their streams if something happens to be going when I pop on youtube, but the ones I went out of my way to watch in HL will be gone now. After Mumei and then Gura have their final grad streams, it might be time to take a break from vtubers, at least as a major form of entertainement! Catch up on some anime series that I put on the backburner and other things that it has replaced or taken time away from.
Watch her announce she has brain cancer and only 6 months to live.
Just to note, TVA automoderates the first post any new profile makes on the site, so drive-bys and new-member dumbness is pretty easy to filter.
As your Oshi graduates I want you to know I fucked her, it was doggy style while we laughed at your posts.
Basically. Even if she doesn't stream, she was always kind of a fixture in the back everyone knew existed. Her actually graduating probably has more symbolic value than it does actual streamer-content value, if that makes sense.

Gura definitely felt like a remnant from a better time, I saw a clip with her in it from a recent stream and hearing her voice felt more confusing than anything, I honestly prefer for her to ride off into the sunset and be legendary for what she represents than be the butt of jokes and the object of constant seething.
Marine will pass her in subs soon and Mori took the throne of most accomplished EN long ago. Loosing Gura mostly just means loosing extra money which if Cover is doing something that is causing this then it's money they don't deserve.
Imagine this is all one big scare and it's just a song cover/original song release 
Yeah part of me was sure if she didnt graduate back when her activity dropped of a cliff there was no reason for her too graduate ever, like yeah she might basically have already been gone, but she being officially gone gone feels like such a huge change on the statues quo, her fans were always active regardless of her streaming or not, for better or wose, and even the slight less mention of her would make waves on social media, I feel this is more significant on how is gonna change the fanabase as a whole that what effect it will have on the branch content.
Shiori's [EDIT: FUCK TYPOS] Blood Typers stream appears to be going on as normal and Kronii (who retweeted the announcement) has also retweeted Shiori's post and posted that if she gets a thumbnail she'll also stream her POV.
