The "Hag-love" shit is a perfect example of a joke past its prime.
It was funny when marine did it back in 2020 because she pretended to be a young idol whilst obviously being a saggy bitch, and the gapmoe between "what is claimed" and "what is perceived" made it pretty tasteful and fun. It also made her endearing as an older woman fleeing a black company wageslave job and being talented; performing alongside literal underaged girls like chamers but not being judged for it because vtubing disregards age and appearance. She wasn't a perfect young idol but that didn't matter because talent has no age.
Now it has just become exceedingly pandering, it's thrown around without any of the old dichotomy that made it so interesting and funny and is now just funny "because it is". Reminds of the elfinpsyop vs pippa debate that was had here a couple of days ago, about how one is genuine and the other is just pandering. It seems like today's online public just loves having their own jokes repeated back to them over and over.

Honestly, yeah, I agree. It's why I advocate for increasing the age of Hag, since it's become so overused to the point that I've seen women in their mid-20's calling themselves hags.
That being said, the current hagmaxxers would most likely push back at the notion of Hags being 45 - 50+ years old. If they like older women, they should prove it.
