It's a remake of 3 which makes me assume it's going to be the original MGO. If it's just gonna be 5's again then Konami is somehow even more retarded than I thought.

I never got to play 3's online because my shithole didn't get affordable broadband up until maybe 2007 but I did play a lot of portable op's and 4's and I can tell you the way the dude changed camo real time only happened in 4 so that's why I say they might be trying to revive 4 but since it's konami and they're retarded it wouldn't surprise me if they basically port 5's online to delta. I'd have to play it to tell if they're just using subsitance version of the game as a base or they're actually rebuilding it from the ground up. Subsistance added the tps controls to the game but it still played a bit weird, another hint that they might be using it is because some time ago people were sperging because the game had some gay shit in it but it was just people who don't even know subsistance exists. You could watch all cutscenes and in japanese fashion it included some dumb cutscenes with snake and other character shirtless dancing, don't remember much but it was there

Yes, it has become very annoying. It has reached the "old enough that people forget all the dogshit about the game". It had some good moments but the game itself was awful with a limited meter for having your disguises be actually useful and far too many linear missions. Instead they just talk about the Lenny mission because it was the most sandbox mission in the game while forgetting it's still a pretty shit mission when compared to missions out of the new trilogy and the old games.

It's like when I was playing Classic WoW and I heard tons of people hype up WotLK raiding as the best out of the classic trilogy by mentioning Ulduar and ICC but they casually forgot to mention nearly all the other raids were shit.

Didn't expect anything from State of Play and got so much: from Pragmata to MK Legacy collection (MKDA and other 3D MK games, pls) to Marvel Tokon.
Quite surprised no show for Kingdom Hearts 4 or FVII Part 3.

I'm hoping it's not another Hitman Absolution.

Absolution suffered from being an action game with tacked on stealth at the last moment. Unless IOI are idiots, 007 won't be that.
Though I wonder how they handle action elements, Hitman WOA was quite clunky in that regard.

that fucking game was a shitshow. I still remember that it had some high score leaderboard and you could see your friend's score and at the time I had someone in there who played it too. She messaged me once asking me how I got such a high score in some levels because she couldn't get it that high and I told her " I just kill everyone" and yes that's how I finished that stupid game on professional. The stupid meter mechanic was worth a dick on that difficulty so I would just go final solution on each level and I would get crazy high numbers The story was incredibly dumb too. 4 lasted a lot from what I recall. Konami might be retarded oriental kikes but for what is worth they keep servers alive for a while. 5 is still alive or was alive like a year ago.

5's MGO(3) is still up, but 4's MGO(2) has more active players on the private servers of both the emulated version you can play on PC, or on jailbroken PStriples

If anyone actually does want to play some MGO2, it's dummy easy to set up and play, you just need a good CPU and a controller.

But WOA story is kind of all over the place and blatantly repeats some beats from Blood Money, so it doesn't really matter.
Overall, I treat Hitman series like "gameplay first, story - whatever". Like how many times ICA was dismantled in the series and how many times 47 quit agency only for the next game to reset everything to status quo?

I actually finally got around to playing Absolution relatively recently. Avoided it for so long because of how bad everyone said it was (as much as Blood Money is praised, I still saw it as a downgrade from the first two).

I blasted through the whole thing with intense interest because of just how bad it was. Like, it's amazingly bad. Hysterically so. It's like watching X-Men Origins: Wolverine: just so bad you gatta keep watching to see how bad it'll get.

I have not seen any apologists for this game, but given the turbo retardation the world has gone through, I wouldn't be surprised.

Don't underestimate FGC autism - they will learn 10 characters, if bragging rights are on the line.
Besides, game will have a system where you can play as 1 character with 3 assists.

Unless 2XKO will release this year and exceptionally good, it will be dead after Marvel Tokon release, since its basically does the same thing as 2XKO, but looks better, flashier and most likely will have more modes and a bigger starting roster than fucking 10 (!!) characters. Also, it has a better name.

I'd say it is not that bad, but it certainly very much confused and badly thought out game.
But at least it introduced new control scheme, which was refined for WOA and enforcers.

Nope, they just sort of gloss over it. The prologue (tutorial missions) are about 47 joining the ICA in 1999 and then they have a montage trailer of him doing his work and it references previous missions. The game takes place after all the games.

The poisoned sushi kill is a reference to the Hayamoto kill in Hitman 2.
The pool drowning is a reference to the Fuchs kill in Hitman 1.
The cello player getting strangled is a reference to the Delgado kill in Blood Money.
The mirror kill is a reference to the Osmond kill in Absolution.

I'd love to but the people playing it are the turbo autists from back in the day. I loved MGO2 but the moment the average player started leaving it stopped being fun or at least for me because it became just a instakill lobbies. It was fun when you had chaos in the server. I might dip my toes on killzone 3 one day if I upgrade my cpu but I don't really see the point.

Man I find that to be worse tbh. I could accept a reboot but just brushing the past like that and doing their own thing is just lazy. Thanks for the info. I should replay blood money though.

My problem per se is that instead of going for an actual reboot they just half assed it by setting their newer games after the past games and not following the threads of the past games. I hated absolution but if you're gonna tell me it's canon, are we just gonna brush off that there's a female 47 out there? It's just autism at the end of the day, the newer games just don't seem to have the same charm for me anymore that's why I've never touched them.
I'm more pissed at IGA for that garbage reveal of a sequel to be honest, I had a drop of faith in him but now that shit is gone
