Unless the game has "2" in its name or is called Tales of Symphonia: Dawn of the New World or Narikiri Dungeon X, none of them are direct sequels or really even related at all, so whatever game looks the most interesting, go for it.Since we have a lot of Tales fans, how should I play through the series? I bought Arise on Steam a while back intending to see what it was about and forgot about it until these posts.
You poor fucker. I'm so glad I went with Sorceress to play Stormweaver... I really hope they wise up and actually make Blood Mage worth a damn, because fuck do I love life stacking builds. I literally FLIPPED A COIN to pick what I league started as, so thank fuck luck was on my side.POE 2 update:

Blood mage was such a bad pick. SO bad. I picked it initially because I wanted infinite curses on the field for my Chaos DOT build, and I REALLY wish I hadn't. You literally get nothing but a detriment with your first two Ascension points, so I literally left points on the board for 20 levels so I didn't have to deal with life drain without mitigation. I got ascension 2, that means I get spell leech to deal with the inherent life drain and can finally play my class, right?
There is practically no benefit to going blood mage. Functionally nothing. Even now at Ascension 3 I can't afford the points for infinite curse and spell crit because I have to go into leech + life to make it playable at all. And playable is a stretch, frankly. There is no point at which I'm getting reliable overheal, most of the time I'm weakening myself for no feasible gain. The only times I've gotten full overheal out of this ascension was against baby mobs which were never going to injure me enough to need a doubled life pool anyways. Against rare monsters you get obliterated, because you can't approach to get your overheal orbs without getting obliterated by one of the 24 different modifiers which punish you for getting close to a rare monster. Against bosses you can kind of, occasionally, get a little bit of overheal. Which immediately goes away when you cast a spell.
Who thought this was a good idea? What is the point of an ascendancy class that is better to not use until endgame and beyond, just so you can win slightly more against small enemies? My lord, at least give the Life Remnants aura some unique support gems to make it less useless, or SOMETHING. I can't imagine a less useful class in an ARPG than this, the "good" stuff is marred by such a huge detriment that it's unusable in almost every scenario. Also, there are fucking uniques that do the exact same things as the capstones in this ascendancy anyways, so you could literally farm for items while playing Infernalist instead and actually enjoy the game.
Release order, going back and forth and losing all QoL will make the experience miserable, but some are skippable because their complete version was made after (ie Phantasia (SNES) > Phantasia (PS1), Graces (DS) > Graces F (PS3, PC)).Since we have a lot of Tales fans, how should I play through the series? I bought Arise on Steam a while back intending to see what it was about and forgot about it until these posts.
To be honest I think the whole thing about losing games because of bad team comps is overblown, because that shit happens in OW2 as well - for example if you have a stubborn one-trick who is being hard countered, or you're playing characters that don't have good synergy with each other. Also worth mentioning that the queue times in Rivals are insanely fast thanks to having open roles.Thank Christ, I think forced role queue in every major mode was probably the biggest contributing factor to Overwatch tanking over the years. It was a lazy fix with the problem being "They can't balance worth a shit". DPS classes are nearly worthless in Overwatch, so the current balance in Rivals is a genuine breath of fresh air.
There's also substantially less hard CC in Rivals, which is another one of the reasons why OW became a chore.
People are tough on Rob Liefeld, but you gotta remember, he didn't go to art school, he never learned how to draw. All he did was doodle and kept at it, and eventually somehow, began getting gigs filling in for real pencilers. Then, he made it big; Just goes to show you that if you believe hard enough you can do something, the universe will throw you a bone.
I'm almost certain this is to satisfy the copyright lawyers. The producers can say they made an effort to prevent copyright infringement and the people can continue to goon and mod to their heart's content.Love for the characters is the main reason people are picking FF7R up, if anything they should be encouraging modding as heavily as possible to secure another gen of parasocial fans.
Side note - If you shoot the purple Mantis ghost on the CC'd person, it will kill the ghost and break the sleep.I've been playing a lot of Mantis lately - her sleep spore is good in a pinch but it's nowhere near as oppressive as Ana's kit.
A little more extensive:Release order, going back and forth and losing all QoL will make the experience miserable, but some are skippable because their complete version was made after (ie Phantasia (SNES) > Phantasia (PS1), Graces (DS) > Graces F (PS3, PC)).
I'd leave NDX for last, it's more of a "celebratory" title if anything and it's really fucking good. Personally I'd skip Symphonia2, Zestiria and Berseria but I only hate Berseria on an emotional level, it isn't that bad (it's Shadow the Hedgehog but with a femMC which makes it extremely unfunny).
So apparently Alanah is showing her colors from her time as an editor and a writer at IGN. She claimed that the Game Science CEO was crying when Astrobot won. A former editor-in-chief of IGN China was there with the Game Science team and has refuted her claim. People went through the footage to see the CEO was actually smiling when Astrobot won. People also pointed out that she was sitting ahead of the Game Science team too, as she was sitting with the Sony folks in the front row.

It looked like a fine LEGO game, it can't be just the male woman thing right?I saw that Lego Horizon launched to a peak player count of 602 on steam, and quickly dropped down to low double digits, despite having a massive budget (as evidenced by the gargantuan credits scroll) and being part of the C Suite's precious child of a franchise. Someone needs to take Hulst to a farm upstate, pronto.
Apparently its very short for a lego game and only has 4 main characters according to this faggy culture war site i read up onIt looked like a fine LEGO game, it can't be just the male woman thing right?
