Modern game dev: lol. lmao even. Please optimize
I completely forgot their existence ever since they backstabbed Colin Moriarty over an extremely tame woman joke. Not surprised they've been indoctrinated with the programming to appeal to dangerhairs and soybeards. Greg Miller in particular is a snake for that. Ruined a decades long friendship just to continue running a worse version of Giant Bomb (which itself is failing lol).
Here's the full trailer.
In the description of the video it says "get ready to experience the Kingdom of Liberl with brand-new localizations" which has me worried. However, it has since been pointed out that the company localizing this game isn't NISA (who have done a surprisingly decent job until now but are currently working on Daybreak 2), but Gungho Entertainment. On top of that, Gungho Entertainment is staffed by many former employees of XSeed who translated the Sky trilogy a decade ago. I'm a little more optimistic now so I shall wait and see. On another note, THIS is the very best place to start if you were curious about the series, as it's the very first game chronologically.
10% is enough for them to exert some influence on the company and cause problems. The universe had to even out for Tencent pulling out of Epic, but 10% isn't the worst it could've been.
The situation with the Steam Deck is (much like everything Valve is involved in) in somewhat of a limbo. Valve has been rather quiet on the subject, only really stating that they don't want to release a Steam Deck until there is a significant leap in performance and graphical fidelity (most likely waiting until the release of RDNA 4 and working whatever wizardry they have to squeeze as much juice as possible out of the thing).Question for those of you who may be following the news more closely than me. I'm potentially in the market for a Steamdeck or something similar (Like the Legion Go or ROG Ally) however I could have sworn I've heard rumors about a potential new revision of some of them being debuted at CES. Am I hallucinating? Because I'm having trouble sourcing my memory. I'm basically going to hold off making a purchase until at least after CES (since it's early January anyways) but I was just wondering if anyone more in the know had any info.
The big revision I heard of for Steam deck is that they are planning on a console that hooks to a TV or monitor.Question for those of you who may be following the news more closely than me. Given that the leaks originally came from 4chan, normally it would be a good idea to take it with a grain of salt.
This console is the Steam Machine 2 allegedly btw. It'd be coming down the pipeline with the new Steam Controller 2 that I've seen a few leaks with, too. The fact that Microsoft is allegedly hopping off making consoles and Valve is attempting this again is kind of neat. I hope they have some form of software ready for people to download that'd be perfect for this. Maybe, something like the rumored HLX game?I already made a console like this using Bazzite and a minipc, but this is official hardware from Valve, supposedly.
Valve is supposed to attend this big tech conference in January, no optimism reacts. Like, they've been formally announced. Don't get too excited because they're probably there for SteamOS 3 news. I'm personally hoping that what you've posted is true and they finally unveil an official launcher/installer for PCs. Would be a nice thing to do as (non-NTSC) Windows 10 support ends this year and it'd give people an exit from having to use bloatware 11.The other big news for all handhelds is that there might be an official SteamOS release that can be used on any hardware that can support it. This would be sort of like Bazzite, except officially supported by Valve.
