Wokeshit is intended to weaken the CCP's competitors and make them cheaper for Chinese companies to acquire. So, yes, China is going to crack down on any attempts at wokeness because they don't want it destabilizing and weakening themselves, but they're quite happy to export it to their enemies and have it weaken them as competitors.

It also seems to be doing extremely well as a strategy, look at how much how many foreign companies Tencent has part ownership in.

Sadly the POE grind has arrived in earnest, I finally got a chance orb and tried to get a unique ring out of it, and instead it blew up and gave me exactly nothing.

I find it kinda weird they made chance orbs so rare when they are fairly common in POE1. I guess they really want people to use the other orbs more and craft from the ground-up than just full-randoming everything.

Thank Christ, I think forced role queue in every major mode was probably the biggest contributing factor to Overwatch tanking over the years. It was a lazy fix with the problem being "They can't balance worth a shit". DPS classes are nearly worthless in Overwatch, so the current balance in Rivals is a genuine breath of fresh air.

Blood mage was such a bad pick. SO bad. I picked it initially because I wanted infinite curses on the field for my Chaos DOT build, and I REALLY wish I hadn't. You literally get nothing but a detriment with your first two Ascension points, so I literally left points on the board for 20 levels so I didn't have to deal with life drain without mitigation. I got ascension 2, that means I get spell leech to deal with the inherent life drain and can finally play my class, right?





There is practically no benefit to going blood mage. Functionally nothing. Even now at Ascension 3 I can't afford the points for infinite curse and spell crit because I have to go into leech + life to make it playable at all. And playable is a stretch, frankly. There is no point at which I'm getting reliable overheal, most of the time I'm weakening myself for no feasible gain. The only times I've gotten full overheal out of this ascension was against baby mobs which were never going to injure me enough to need a doubled life pool anyways. Against rare monsters you get obliterated, because you can't approach to get your overheal orbs without getting obliterated by one of the 24 different modifiers which punish you for getting close to a rare monster. Against bosses you can kind of, occasionally, get a little bit of overheal. Which immediately goes away when you cast a spell.



Who thought this was a good idea? What is the point of an ascendancy class that is better to not use until endgame and beyond, just so you can win slightly more against small enemies? My lord, at least give the Life Remnants aura some unique support gems to make it less useless, or SOMETHING. I can't imagine a less useful class in an ARPG than this, the "good" stuff is marred by such a huge detriment that it's unusable in almost every scenario. Also, there are fucking uniques that do the exact same things as the capstones in this ascendancy anyways, so you could literally farm for items while playing Infernalist instead and actually enjoy the game.

Time to take the Gemling Legionnaire Grenade Mercenary pill brother. Embrace the Twin Stick Shooter lifestyle.

I can't speak much on the Tales of series as I've only extensively played Berseria and Arise, while only playing about an hour of Symphonia, but the whole JRPG sub-genre has been on a massive decline since their peak days on the SNES, PS1, PS2, and other consoles/handheld from around that time. Don't get me wrong, there are still some great releases from time to time, but any subsequent gaming generation's catalogue just can't stack up against what we got during the above mentioned eras. Definitely a shame.

On the one hand, it's a shame I didn't get to play many of those games around the time period they came out. On the other hand, it's nice playing them for the first time as an adult as I have a better chance trying to understand what the hell is going on because I sure as hell didn't understand what the fuck was happening when I played the Xenosaga games as a teen outside of big mechs and androids fighting and looking cool.

Yeah, role queue and the excessive amount of shield spam is what pushed Overwatch to its death. I've had games where it was 1 tank, 1 healer, and 4 dps. I've lost some of those games because I did more damage than half our dps as a support. I've also won some of those games because we had competent DPS, so the other team couldn't handle the amount of damage getting thrown their way, especially when I'd throw C&D's shadow shield that makes the enemy blind and they take increased damage.

DPS are actually impactful in RIvals while Tanks and Supports in OW did slightly worse damage than them while providing substantial survivability and utility, so DPS became worthless. If someone were to even try GOATS in Rivals, they'd have too low of damage output and their supports can still get popped by an Iron Fist or sniped by the 3 characters that can 1-2 tap them despite having 3 supports heal each other. There's also substantially less hard CC in Rivals, which is another one of the reasons why OW became a chore. Hopefully they let the DPS stay stupid strong and make sure shields and hard CC is mostly limited to ults.

Love for the characters is the main reason people are picking FF7R up, if anything they should be encouraging modding as heavily as possible to secure another gen of parasocial fans.

Since we have a lot of Tales fans, how should I play through the series? I bought Arise on Steam a while back intending to see what it was about and forgot about it until these posts.
