I watched a dev talk from them a year ago and it was pretty fascinating. They did all sorts of tricks to get this shit working and just outright said "nah, fuck lumen, fuck global illumination, fuck nanite, we want this shit to run at 60fps". Apparently it can run on the Steamdeck and they never actually planned for that, one of the playtesters just informed them it does.

>CK3 releases with many features missing and the DLC is immensely annoying trash that makes the game worse
>Viccy 3 supposedly is turbo fucked with many systems just being dogshit
>Cities Skylines 2 is somehow monetized even worse than all other games so far and still runs like shit after 1.5 years
>Stellaris DLCs have been batting like .125 in terms of good DLC

I have already mentally squared away that EU5 and Prison Architect 2 are going to be dogshit

Not even mentioning Imperator Rome.
What a crime to the sensesParadox inflicted.

At this point, I'm playing Paradox games for the modding communities, mostly complete overhauls (with the exception of Stellaris and its one million fractured mods). Here is a short-list from my own rotation, mostly fantasy overhauls and Todd Howard IP, which had to be cut down in recent years of Alt-History modders taking the stunning and brave stances against "literal Nazis, guys, believe me" in the "community". So if you're wondering "where is [X] mod/overhaul" on the list, just assume it's for said political brainrot getting to them!

Honorary mention to "The Fire Rises", which somehow has the terminally online going "this is literal fascist propaganda", despite...well, just look at it! Anyone who takes it as a serious political propaganda piece needs extensive mental help!

Crusader Kings III:
Elder Kings 2
Godherja: The Dying World

Victoria 3:
Manaflow: Ankaris Arrival
Realms of Exether

Europa Universalis 4:
MEIOU and Taxes v3.0
Anbennar: A Fantasy Total Conversion
My Little Anbennar: Friendship is Magic (April Fools joke made permanent, with help from the EaW team)

Hearts of Iron IV:
Old World Blues
The Fire Rises
Kaiserreich
Equestria at War (meme choice, but surprisingly well-designed, what the fuck!)
MLP fans are dedicated autists might as well share the two games I know are quality.

https://foe-remains.gitlab.io/main_en.html Fallout Equestria:Remains playable from browser and through a download. made by a single Russian.

https://gamejolt.com/games/Ponyvania/232954 Ponyvania i think this was a single guy who eventually got a team.

Both are excellent

Remains is a 2D Fallout with all the joys of loot gobbling make sure to be racist whenever you shoot a Zebra it's funny.

Ponyvania is Level based Castlevania much like order of Ecclesia and has a shit ton of replay ability because picking your race does actually determine your abilities with you having the ability to unlock more then the initial 3 options Earth Pony Pegasus and Unicorn.

So much talk of Expedition 33 yet no one mentions the greatest French game ever made, E.Y.E: Divine Cybermancy.

I have such negative hype for this is hilarious. I still remember reading an article from a hands on of gta4 and reading how alive the world was, I was looking forward to it because there was a leap in features. Now I see this and I know it's gonna be another red dead 2 in which everything will feel artificial and there isn't going to be much to see or do. The writers are turbo fags so I don't expect any remarkable character or story, having a latina main character is already a dead giveaway. The gunplay is copy pasted since max payne 3 and will have no depth since all enemies drop the moment they get shot. Whatever new systems they implement will be annoying following red dead 2 footsteps. If they offer the online separate for like 20 bucks I might get it only to have a time waster but I don't even have that much intention of even pirate it :Vesper-UNHINGED:
Rockstar nowadays is just ubisoft but since they release a game a decade people don't notice it and even forgive them because the rockstar brand is still profitable.

God I fucking wish, GTAV was such a comical downgrade over RDR1 and Max Payne 3's gunplay, and RDR2 was somewhere to halfway decent, but that game has so many other problems.

GTA VI is going to be successful because of it's previous history, but there are so many red flags with its development you know it's going to be a woke politics piece of shit. It's unfortunate, but I can't say I particularly care - GTA was never a franchise I really loved. It always felt like each individual system was so half-assed - the game has shooting, because you have to have shooting in a GTA game, for example, but that shooting is worse than nearly every shooter in existence. Worse than that, though, it rarely felt fun to me, more that particular stuff and mechanics were in the game so that mechanic could be in the game.

What is there to be guilty about besides the fact it won't get a sequel
The "story" of Eve is one persons "cycle of guilt" it's presumably why certain npc's keep dying and coming back .

I was just making a reference to that.

I've only finished one play through but it felt like an acid trip so that explains it. Still a blast of a game.

I don't really feel any hype for GTA VI either. I loved and played a lot of Vice City and San Andreas when I was younger. Great games, and I still have fond memories of them.

I played 4, but I could never get into it. The characters and story were okay, but I didn't really like the city and aesthetics. Never even finished it.

Five was great in many ways, and I do think it's a genuinely great game. It just never really captured what VC and SA did for me, though. I know it's more of a "me" issue than anything else, but I definitely spent way more time watching other people play it than I played it myself. Hell, I also had more fun watching vtubers play it than when I played it myself.

I also rarely immerse myself in trailers, info drops, leaks, etc about a game until it's fairly close to release or after it's released, so I rarely get very hyped over game releases anymore in general.
