Is it full on guides for games or is it just like, "how to do beat [Insert Boss Here]" because if it's that then you can get like 10 quality ones in a day, but that's if you actually, you know, play games.50 guides across 7 writers is pretty much just 1 guide a day. I recall reading article about how guides are the biggest source of traffic for Kotaku, so this isn't surprising at all.
I'd assume it's just anything basic that will drive traffic to the site. Simple "how to beat boss X" can be written up pretty quickly and will draw a bit of traffic from casuals looking up guides. Is it full on guides for games or is it just like, "how to do beat [Insert Boss Here]" because if it's that then you can get like 10 quality ones in a day, but that's if you actually, you know, play games.
If Fextralife can be a successful website just off the back of scraping other wikis for info and random anons posting blatantly wrong and incorrectly filled out template pages, then milking it for ads, I don't see what these crybabies have to scream about. Is it full on guides for games or is it just like, "how to do beat [Insert Boss Here]" because if it's that then you can get like 10 quality ones in a day, but that's if you actually, you know, play games.
Um, if I can't scream about the evil racists sexist homophobic transphobic gamer and how trump is bad and socialism is good, then what's the point? If Fextralife can be a successful website just off the back of scraping other wikis for info and random anons posting blatantly wrong and incorrectly filled out template pages, then milking it for ads, I don't see what these crybabies have to scream about.
My shit still downloading, but I will say it wasn't as bad as other launch days on steam. Also, Dragon's Dogma 2 unlock waiting room.

Hi I'm here weeks late cause I forgor that this thread existed, and had to tell you that I fucking died at this. My ribs hurt. From now until the end of time I will call utterly pointless virtue signaling etc. "grinding faction rep". It really is the only reason that the mentally (and actually) 15 year olds on Twatter post about "social issues".It's just an easy way to grind faction rep.
Y E A R O F T H E C H A DDear god I am going to be able to enjoy seeing kotaku end finally. Looks like miracles do happen!
Because that requires some effort, regardless of how minimal it is, while screeching like a lunatic takes no effort. If Fextralife can be a successful website just off the back of scraping other wikis for info and random anons posting blatantly wrong and incorrectly filled out template pages, then milking it for ads, I don't see what these crybabies have to scream about.
Sucks gameplay wise? Or just easy? The Sandland demo kinda sucks. Which is disappointing, because I was really hoping the game would be good.
Gameplay wise. Maybe they fixed it for the actual game, but the enemies are a mixture of way too easy and way too hard. The majority you can defeat with a couple of hits, but then you have the robots. These things are constantly jumping while firing bombs at you. You'll get maybe one hit in before it jumps up and away, while exploding you. And every time it explodes you, you fall to the ground and take a few seconds to push yourself up. Then they'll bomb you again as you're getting up, before jumping away.Sucks gameplay wise? Or just easy?
Asking as I was interested in the game as well.
Been playing some DD2 tonight and can confirm game runs like shit. Running with a good pc. I can get the game somewhat running with max settings. However, messing around with graphic settings, I can never get stable 60fps. It fluctuates in towns with the NPCs and I noticed when journeying around and a random pawn is on the road there's a slight dip. like the game is loading a pawn from the network. So turns out Dragon's Dogma 2 is at "Mostly Negative" on Steam because the optimization is dogshit and Capcom loaded up like $40 in mtx on release day. The DLC honestly doesn't seem too bad as everything is gacha Pay2MakeGameEasier (except you have to pay like $2 to change your edit your character's looks). It's mainly just Capcom's embarrassingly anti-consumer practices where they wait for the reviews to pour in and then they slide those mtx in. In regards to performance, it's apparently really bad and people have taken to slaughtering NPCs wholesale to improve game performance.
I can see them either doing a new IP or going back to Divinity Original Sin with a third game. Also I think in meantime the head Larian developer is working on a new fishing game, they kind of got invested in them during Covid. In other news, Larian has stated they aren't going to make any expansions for BG3 and won't be working on BG4, they're going to do their own thing. Probably because Hasbro/WOTC are a bunch of turbo jews that fired a bunch of the guys from WOTC that were working with Larian on the game and likely inflated the license renewal for Larian because BG3 completely blew up in size.
