Yeahhhh, I know we hate genderspecials who attack our hobbies and shit here but I know plenty of gays and lesbians who don't bring it up unless you literally ask them to, pretty normal people imo. I may make plenty of jokes at the expense of minorities and women and such but don't confuse that with actually having a universal hatred of said groups, I judge by personal character first and foremost and think everyone on all sides should, but I also recognize that sorting, and therefore judging, people by group is human nature (I do it too unconciously), so I won't call you a bigot if you do.

The biggest problem when it comes to wider acceptance, and the thing that absolutely infuriates me about the non-malicious/predatory LGBTs I know and otherwise like, is the firm reluctance to punch left. I can sympathise with the desire to not get involved in an insufferable slapfight, but the result is the loudest voices on their side (and therefore most people's first exposure to LGBT issues) are the most abhorrent faggots they'll ever encounter - who can spout whatever sick shit they feel like, completely unchallenged.

I feel moderate progressives would run into far fewer problems in the long run if they openly mocked and shamed radicals, in the same way people on places like the Kiwi Farms with moderate counterculture positions openly rip into the groypers, desperate edgelords, and trad larpers whenever they do something stupid.

Pretty sure some did when being gay was part of the fad and you were "different" back in the late 90's and early 00's. Now its mostly normalized that no one really gives a shit except really mentally ill individuals that NEED to know if someone is gay or not to know if they can support them or not. Seen this happen with certain Vtubers where if they dont say shit, some creeps in the audience push for them to reveal it. Also seen other Vtubers who are extremely gung-ho in trying to advertise themselves as LGBT or "allies" because they think it will help them gain an audience which is extremely sad to see given that gaining a following simply based on your sexuality often ends up biting you in the ass as those are the same type of people that wont support you for shit and will drop you instantly whenever you step out of line. Gays and lesbians for the most part don't seem to have this NEED to tell the whole world about it either. Can't say the same from many trans individuals. Atleast the ones who seem to be doing it for attention which is most of them.

Something that bothered me about the whole podcast thing is how the speakers mentioned that some of the people on Kirsche's side are doing the same shit they accuse Ana of doing. And while I don't fully disagree, if Ana sets up the rules of engagement, why is it a problem now that some people are using those same rules against them?
