Some higher up realized probably just like us that Valens had faked a message, that Waypoint made an article talking in favor of Valens where that message was, went “OH SHIT O FUCK” and decided to just scorch earth everything that was anti-Kirsche.

Hmm, I suppose that could be the case, but this seems to me like Vice is removing the articles to avoid the situation going to court. It won't stop people like Valens and Bint from seething on their personal socials, but it seems like Vice decided it isn't worth the trouble to have these articles on their website – that alone doesn't outright stop Valens's campaign, but it certainly gives it less exposure going forward, so it is at least some degree of a victory.

This is how they work, this fucker will never admit wrongdoing, but when they fuck up they steal edit everything, that is their admission of mistake

All im saying is to not laser focus on this as a definitive proof that Vice and Valens are scummy, there are many other examples that are more reliably cited and clear cut, just dont miss the forest for the trees with something that is more easily arguable than most of the shit they have posted

Everyone is calling it "vtubergate" but honestly it's more like "kirschegate", I really don't see anyone who matters involved in this or giving the slightest shit. You commit an inherent fallacy in your thinking, in that the only reason this is small is because people have proactively stood up and defended all of these companies and entities for them, so they didn't have to do it themselves. People like Kirsche are what enables the companies you consider 'non-political' to continue being so, because without them, the broken culture of ignoring controversy and allowing lies to be spread without response would cause even more damage than it already has.
