The problem of this VICE article is that declaring a woke fatwa will crash with the realities of Vtubing and the desire of the industry to stay away from politics.

This is not a big community where products are created by corporations that can be infiltrated by ESG Consultants.

These are sub-communities, mostly controlled by one user or two, operating independently of one another and having relationships with ones and not with others.

Vtubing is too decentralized as a medium to even get a hold of things, you can always create your own community, events and groups.

And most importantly, most people just don't want to participate in a conflict, so most vtubers are going to ignore this and move on.
