I wasn't aware of that long ass list honestly and after checking out that disney theory on the farms thread, I agree it's definitely a smokescreen. As much as I want people to get caught up for sucking the dude off all those years despite everyone telling them how awful he was, this feels disingenuous... Double edged sword? I dunno...

The popular YouTubers around the time had a very disaffected nihilistic culture at the time (that conveniently lasted up until the adpocalypse happened when they started disavowing it, very curious!) and I don't think the Shad support was as much as staunch defence of everything he did as it was a "lol, lmao". Doesn't make it right obviously, but I don't think it's as deep as a lot of the discourse makes it out to be, and it certainly isn't as deep as someone hiding behind their status as a person in a "protected" group to downplay their potentially criminal behaviour.
