Since Pippa has probably gotten a PC sponsorship and given up on building her own PC, this will be my last PC update here (I'll probably move anything extra to the off-topic thread)
I have an operational build with the essentials. I didn't add all my drives and fans and shit in there, no point since it's all still compatible anyways and it won't impact space, but I did want to make sure the new parts would all work with my old case and PSU.

So looking at price histories, CPU prices are definitely going down in general with the release of the new gen. I'm already regretting getting the 7950X early, as it looks like it's going to keep dropping in price, especially over the holidays. On the other hand, I'm watching graphics cards like a hawk. I
refuse to believe that there won't be a Radeon 7800 XT on sale somewhere during Cyber Monday. I'll probably have to just take a near full price hit on the mobo, I'm not willing to compromise on a Taichi and the new ones are much cheaper than the old ones in any case. For RAM, I have some cheap 16 gig sticks in the list for now but will upgrade if I see a good deal over Cyber Monday (by all accounts MH:Wilds is going to be a major RAM hog, more would be better). I do want a 6k mhz model though, apparently the Ryzen CPUs reaaaally like having more voltage to play with, and I think I'm done doing extra shit to overclock RAM and perfect my voltage timings and whatnot. I kind of want this computer to just work without fighting it.
That's all for the PipPC, congrats to Pippa for getting (probably) sponsored!
