Fun fact, "slave" is the mispronunciation of "Slav" in the same way that "Yamanba" is a mispronunciation of negro. There was no African slave trade in Europe simply because Slavs were cheaper to buy as slaves but when you shipped either option overseas it was easier to travel from Africa. The first slave in America was also a former indentured servant black man forcing another currently indentured servant black man into becoming his slave under law.

Been reading about him, on the hunt for more books. It's kinda funny that a black man accidentally created slavery of non-criminals in British Colonial America through case law that then just spread throughout the colonies.
