Her whole thing with Pokémon is the perfect example. Likes the cute mon and some of the side content like the contests and hideouts, does not like the actual gameplay stuff like finishing the dex or the battles.
She'd play the top end content if it wasn't trivially easy for her.
I think her biggest problem is that she engages with lots of games in the most insincere way. It ranges on a scale of how insincere, at the most extreme you get things like how she played Sonic Frontiers. Despite if you think it's good or not, she goes into things expecting to not like things, and then doesn't actually engage with it, or she hyper focuses on a thing she doesn't like about a game, and it ends up leading to her not liking the game. Of course, if it sets off her autism, you get things like that Phase fan game that was based on Plants vs Zombies, Mahjong, and Civ.
Men typically play games to demonstrate mastery over a system. Women typically play games for the experience it offers.
I genuinely wonder how Civ5 would've gone if she succeeded in launching it up first instead ot of shitting the bed leading her to play 1.
