Why does it amaze people that genetics lead to phenotype redundancies within the meats?
Because it's hard to imagine large numbers even for smart people. I don't think anyone can actually conceptualize how vast a billion is outside of the abstraction. Our meat minds are not made for that, we only have 10 fingers!
