Did anyone catch this cute interaction with Aoi and Loki? It happened just before her debut.

Sasuga, Berylbelievers. I didn't know she was that good at masking her Beryl/Peari voice.

Well, definitely a good lineup. Phase definitely has a good roster of talents, including the original 3 JPs, to offer to a larger JP audience if they can attract the attention. As I speak or understand close to zero Japanese, none of them will really enter into my normal rotation of what to watch, but like Nasa, Michi, and Iori, I'll try to catch a stream/watch a vod every once in a while, especially if they play something interesting or something.

That said, going off of the info I was able to understand, their mannerisms, etc, I like all of them. Clara is unsurprisingly the favorite of the bunch. Even aside her having perfect English, allowing to follow along better than the others, she's very entertaining. She completely takes hold of the spotlight when its on her and makes the most of it. She also clearly has a fun sense of humor. Definitely a strong showing during her debut. The rest were fun in their own ways too. They all seem to have great potential, and I look forward to seeing what they all will do.

They've been in the basement for quite a while, so I'm sure they're already integrated well in Phase with the staff and other talents. Even though the large amount of English in their chats was talked about a bit more negatively here, hopefully it made them feel a little more welcome to see a lot of that support coming into a Western vtuber company as a foreign branch, even if their target market will be the JP one. They're still a part of Phase, so hopefully having the Phase fan support there made them feel welcome.

Anyway, I'm definitely looking forward to seeing how this new Phase venture will go. They had a very strong showing in their debuts. I wish them the best as they start to settle in and start streaming. Good job, once again, Fishman.

Loki had that "streaming from a closet" mic issue, where you have to be close but speak less loudly, or it starts echoing like crazy

What the fuck Berylbros. She sings opera? Why were you hiding her from me, an opera enjoyer? BTW Did she ever sing Phantom of the Opera?

My objectively correct opinions:

Gram Pico: Squeaky loli. Her interest in geology is interesting though. Might make for a break from the usual content if she can weave that into her streams. But a squeaky loli could talk about the most interesting thing in the world and I still wouldn't want to listen to it for two or three hours.

Ayase Yuu: Like her voice and I like her interest in FPSes. Yes, the ones she mentioned are pleb tier, but hopefully she'll be prodded to play something more classic at some point. I like the city lights aesthetics of her stream assets.

Kokoromo Memory: Ironically I keep forgetting her name. Another squeaky loli. The bra size song was pretty funny though.

Kaminari Clara: By far the easiest for me to understand - I guess she, like me, is working from a much more limited bin of vocabulary words than the native speakers. I liked that she expressed an interest in Showa-era music, which I like as well, and her singing talents cannot be denied. I really hope she sticks to streaming primarily in JP because her streams could be a good way for shitty lower-intermediate JSLs like me to get some reps in. It might be a pleb choice but I gotta say she's my oshi of this gen so far.

Kannagi Loki: I really liked the quirkily surreal and dark themes of her stream - Tim Burton-esque. If she is able to do that sort of thing in her live content too it could be a lot of fun to watch. And she of course was also a great singer.

My biases against squeaky lolis aside, this is a very solid crew and it's really hard to imagine Sakana could have gone about promoting their launch any better. Let's hope the JP bros bite this bait and get hooked on our favorite coffee company. They're set up for massive success, if only they can catch on.

Murray translation: "She likes black things"

It's so fucking over.

Did I really translate it as "black?" Obviously I meant to say "dark." My bad - trying to listen in one language while speaking in another is a little tricky.

Hey @Murrayしないで amateur move not to wear a diaper

I love streaming but not so much that I will sit in my own hot damp urine for it. Besides, I took a piss break during a time when there were on-screen subtitles so nobody suffered.

Wow that was a thoroughly OK pop-rock song. Felt like the lead guitar wanted this to go like 150% harder but got held back

Her artwork had her playing a guitar but I didn't catch if she played for that song too, or if she just sang. Did anyone else catch if that was mentioned?

She sang Ave Maria, although she's not that confident with it and admits not remembering it fully

I have learned from /pcg/ that another operafag is in IdolEN named Roca Rourin. Small corpos have the god-tier singers huh.

God knows what I would give to have a Roca and Clara duet karaoke in the future. Maybe throw Lumi in there for Total Gosling Death and maximum ex-CL seething.
