That anniversary collab stream was a lot of fun and pretty interesting. There was a bit of new (or at least new to me) lore that they revealed in this stream. Some notes:

• Eimi almost signed a contract for another company. She described this other company as being intended for those who were just getting started. She ended up auditioning for Phase because, even though she didn't have experience in stream, she did have experience in other things. She went through the entire process with Phase (interview, test stream, etc). She held off on signing the contract for the other company for about two weeks when Sakana finally DM'd her accepting her into Phase. She immediately dropped out from signing to the other company.
• I don't know if she's ever talked about it before, but apparently, Remi was a small vtuber and almost quit vtubing until she saw a Reddit post about Gen 2 auditions. She didn't think a corpo would accept her, but she decided to give it a final shot and applied to Phase. Sure enough, she got that email back. She said that whenever she feels down or has low self-esteem, she remembers that Sakana hired her, which means someone saw something good in her. She also thanked Reddit, which got some fun responses from the others.
• This has been mentioned a few times before, but since there are always new Phase fans who may not know: Pippa and Tenma were friends before Phase and applied together. Pippa sent the Reddit post to Tenma and asked if she wanted to join with her. Also mentioned before: Tenma was ready to lawyer up and sue if it turned out to be a scam because of how sketchy it seemed. She also stretched the initial interview with Sakana to four hours.
• As mentioned earlier, when Jelly joined Phase, Lia was "silently losing her mind" because she was a big fan of Jelly for years. She had been watching Jelly since her debut in her old corpo (the one shown a few posts above). She never told Jelly this, and Jelly was super embarrassed to hear this in the stream.
• It's known that Jelly and Eimi knew each other before Phase, and possibly worked together on stuff, but neither knew the other was joining Phase until they saw one another in the Discord (they can't remember whether Eimi or Jelly was in the server first). Sounds the same as Airi/Shiina.
• Jelly was actually going to be a part of Gen 3, but Dizzy said if they do that, she was going to kill herself. So Jelly became an Invader instead, lol.
• Lia also watched Dizzy for a while too, and when Dizzy was first added to the Discord, Lia was out to dinner with a friend, and she had to keep herself from freaking out because of the excitement. She also confirmed she had been watching Ember for a while too. Remi also confirmed that a lot of the Phase girls were excited for Jelly, Dizzy, and Ember joining because many of them were fans of their past lives. And of course, Phase and Dizzy/Ember's previous company, Tsunderia, did maintain a friendly relationship between themselves.

Wild to see how far the company has come in four years. I haven't been a fan the entire four years. Been about three years for me, but even in that time, they've grown a lot and gone through a lot. Nice to see them get to where they are now, even when they could have just as easily become another small company shutting down, especially in that first year. Obviously, major respect to Muumi for coming in and preventing that from happening and Sakana for willing to do what he needs to do, but also major props to all of the Origins talents for taking the risk and sticking around a little longer instead of walking like they almost did. Phase probably wouldn't be here if they weren't willing to stick it out a bit more. Will always have a lot of respect for the original seven.

Here's to another year and hopefully many more. We've already seen one new height coming in the next year, so I'm looking forward to that and everything else they have planned for another fun year.
