I'm convinced they made Doom Eternal for autistic people

Eternal is the only DOOM game where most of my deaths were from falling. I enjoyed the lore additions and some gameplay additions but the damn platforming killed me like 5x more often than the battles.

This is probably why they had the lives system which should have been an indicator that shit wasn't working.

I also tended to die from Cacos spawning behind me which given they made the swell decision of making guns do jack shit to them which was nice and helped manners when I am running around at a thousand mph trying to survive

The only ominous addition Eternal made were those "here's how to defeat this enemy" videos that you can't turn off, placed at the behest of Bethesda's advertising team in order for the DSPs of this world not to grow frustrated or have to think for a moment.

I skipped the plot, just found Ancient Gods part 1 too annoyingly hard to get through nightmare. My favorite level is ARC Complex and I've probably played through it as many times as I would have a Halo level. I don't get the idea that Doom Eternal is for autists however. I have over a hundred hours in it.

My favorite example is my one friend that started working as an EMT and was super liberal.
