There is a large edgy side of the Phase fandom that is very anti-woke. All it will take is one person saying one thing on her chat and she will go mask off-full retard and at that point she wont be able to put the toothpaste back into the tube. She will have girlbossed too close to the sun which will lead to the other girls lashing back at the people calling her out and the Corpo will end up taking a hit in their reputation.

Maybe she wouldn't be too upset if that happened. What's Sakana going to do, side with the alt-right bigots? If these people have shown anything, it's that they are just fine with tearing down anything they consider problematic even if it hurts their own self interests.

There are many talents who more likely than not lean left, maybe Lia, Eimi, Rie (confirmed iirc), likely Runie. However the difference between them and Clara is they aren't leftist. There's a difference. There's a difference between passively just thinking left wing talking points make sense and housing leftist ideas as your paradigm. The former is easy to debate with even if I think it's just good that they don't express politics in any acount. Clara is the latter.

Also this thread has made me respect Jelly even more than I already did.

Rie caught a mild case of libtarditis from her western education. Luckily, Australians tend not to take themselves too seriously (for now) so she can still have a joke & laugh. I was hoping that going back to HK would mellow her out more but if she is going to be spending more time in Japan with the retard expat crowd then she might have more problems as she matures.

Eimi is a fat lesbian & Runie is a bisexual coal burner. No hate, I think they are talented, but there is no way they are even close to moderate. At least they seem very professional.

Jelly is fucking awesome and I knew there was a reason I memebered her from day 1. I think I suspected that she was special when she just ignored people building hakenkreuz in one of her early jig streams.

Why is she so hyper fixated on vermintide? If i hadn't seen her PL I'd assume she is one.

Her best friend is trans. Also, I'm sure she goes out of her way to make friends with every person of letters she can find to be a good ally.


Couple of observations on Clara as someone who watches her regularly:

She will almost always make a passing oblique reference to some social justice issue in her lower effort streams such as zatsu or gameplay. She rarely does it in her more popular RP or karaoke streams, unless you consider singing Chappell Roan, songs from musicals or other gay anthems to be dog whistles (which they probably are).

When she makes these comments she tends to move on quickly & thankfully chat doesn't really seem to engage with what she is saying. Hopefully, most of them are rolling their eyes or maybe some of them are just oblivious to the references she is making.

All of this behaviour really ramped up about 6 months ago. I'm not sure if that correlates with any specific political event however it may just be that she did her 6 months settling in and just decided that she was going to be more "herself".

She mentioned about 4 weeks ago that she wants to tell chat more about herself however she promised Sakana that she would wait 1 year before doing this. I suspect that she may talk about her gravure work. It has now just ticked over 1 year.

Despite her reputation among small corpo fans, she was never really a big name. She was in Production Kawaii for only 4 months and from what I recall, she harbors some resentment towards that corpo. Then she was at Star☆Ring but she announced her graduation on the 6 month mark exactly. She probably pushed to be in PhaseJP so she can stay in Japan. She's a gaijin hag in Japan, so trying to find a corpo job might have been difficult and the idea that Phase is Canadian might have influenced her decision. There's a good chance she didn't even know about Phase's reputation outside of maybe Pippa. Then again, she is extremely woke and those types love to infiltrate places and try to change them from within.

In terms of political events at the 6 month mark, she debuted on January 27th 2024 and there was the assassination attempt on Trump on July 13th, so about 6 months. A lot of woke as fuck liberals shed their mask for a bit there because they were seething that the shooter missed. Everyone with more than 5 functional brain cells realized that Trump locked in his election victory after he survived that and the only way he'd lose is if they cheated him. Either Clara realized that or one of the leftist tiktoks she follows ranted about that.

I think the more likely reason is that she only lasted 4 months at Production Kawaii and 6 months at Star☆Ring. She was probably feeling more comfortable once she outlasted her previous corpo jobs. I seem to recall Jelly joining Pippa's voice chat during one of her streams and then leaving almost immediately after Clara joined. Between that and Clara's seething, we might finally get a confrontation if they get forced to interact like in a Phase Wars event.

Well there's that Cobblemon stream where she ranted about the Depp v Heard trial. Rewatching that VOD, Jelly immediately mutes herself once Clara joins the voice chat before Clara even speaks.
