Fuck no it's not "visibility", I grew up in the 80s and 90s and both autism and ADHD were NOT common at all back then. I knew one kid through all of K-12 who had ADHD and I don't think I even met any actual autistic people until after 2000. Big difference from these days when I go to an event with other families present and I see like 1/3 of the kids running around are showing obvious symptoms. I also used to be one of those dismissive of the connection to childhood vaccination until I looked up the schedule and saw that people just 5 years younger than me were getting 10x the shots I received and at earlier age and it climbed to like 30x what I've had in my entire life. That is a lot of stress to be putting on young growing bodies and makes me suspicious.

Before Autism was essentially "retard with social disorder" now it's everyone with a social disorder. The retardation is no doubt physical, and because of that they also have problems socially adapting. However non retarded people having issues socially adapting is an issue with their social upbringing and environment. A lot of single moms, a lot of disabled moms, a lot of absent parents. Not all the time but there are patterns which is why this DSM spectrum BS has created a problem from the research and treatment side not fixed it
I think gassing all deaf people would be based and would improve morale greatly
