Honestly I probably shouldn't have even mentioned that part. The real interesting info to me is that the people graduating have not been talking about their management issues, at least to Calli.

I think a lot of them are minor issues that cropped up over the years. It doesnt make sense to vent every single minor issues to other people and by the time you decided to leave there is no reason to "compile a list" and send it over to everyone.
Also if they had been able to freely share their issues, they might not have left in the first place

She's pretty sure her producer is actively avoiding having her work with musicians or video producers that are trending/in demand, based on the fact that she provides lists of ppl she wants to make stuff with, and then the producer will always pick the ones that nobody has been doing stuff with.

This kinda feels weird to me. Why are producers in charge of getting her collabs. Isn't this like Calli's/her manager's job
Say at best if she works with TeddyLoid, they can give Ado's manager phone number to Calli. Aint no way TeddyLoid can order Ado to work with her

Because most people don't view this as "people are leaving on their own terms" they view it as "HOLOLIVE IS FUCKING DYING RUN FOR YOUR FUCKING LIVESSSSS!" and don't seem to be able to distinguish between gura and mumei, who were afk for like half of their tenure and calli, who has released more music than like 90% of the JPs, has had 2 sololives and is signed with a fucking label.

The first two had fairly successful, near 1M sub channels built out of shitposting and song covers, the latter was stuck in a dead-end music niche without a pot to piss in, even if some of her ideas get canned why would she ever throw it all away?

I think she's referring to a Universal production person. Sounds like basically her "manager" at Universal. She wasn't talking about a specific music producer. I have no idea what the correct nomenclature is.

That music collab stuff is through UMG Japan. That's probably the beginning and end of the issue, lol. Someone at a big label in Japan has to manage the account that's contracted to an American White Woman that plays a character on the Internet. Whoever got assigned that role probably felt like it was an insult, so they're going to do the least amount of effort possible. (This is the classic "buried by the label" problem.)

And that's before any issues potentially around Calli not being Japanese. If they just check to see who's not busy, at least they're doing more than most label employees.

I interpreted it more as them not wanting Calli to seem like she's riding trends or working with ppl just because a bunch of other people are. Calli said that basically anybody on her list that other Hololive talents have worked with would never get picked. Whether that's actually a good idea is anybody's guess. She said that would even be the case if the lesser "known" producer was more expensive to work with, so they're not just cheaping out either.

One of Gura's bigger issues is that most of her music projects cancelled while Calli continues churning them out.
She might feel that this kinda issue wouldn't resonate with Calli since her experience are completely different and thus dont vent it to her.

I still feel like relying on UMG alone doesnt make sense. Calli/Holo Manager needs to do the marketting. UMG shouldnt be able to reject a collab if Calli comes up with it herself.
The guy at UMG might only giving smaller names because that's all the connections he can pull off, rather than it being malicious or a growth strategy
