That music collab stuff is through UMG Japan. That's probably the beginning and end of the issue, lol. Someone at a big label in Japan has to manage the account that's contracted to an American White Woman that plays a character on the Internet. Whoever got assigned that role probably felt like it was an insult, so they're going to do the least amount of effort possible. (This is the classic "buried by the label" problem.)
And that's before any issues potentially around Calli not being Japanese. If they just check to see who's not busy, at least they're doing more than most label employees.
