The funniest part about all of this is that Holo has not really been affected by this string of grads, even if people freak out (or pretend to freak out) about them the company has done nothing but grow in terms of CCV lately (around 50% of the entire industry), it was recently reported that Holo had broken several all time agency watchtime records even with less members than before.

They're still adding new members at a faster rate than they're losing old ones. Hololive is still growing in more ways than one.

And with all this being said, I really hope this won't be as hard on Subaru as Aqua's graduation. That was really hard to watch.

I'm sure she's feeling like shit and has been for a while. Judging by past graduations, Shion likely told everyone at least a few months in advance so Subaru's had a while to process. Seeing it officially announced likely made it hit even harder. There's a decent chance she'll cry at the start of tomorrow's stream, but this is exactly why she made her 2025 resolution "Keep going forward." She doesn't wanna hold herself back and be trapped in that same helplessness she felt during Aqua's announcement. That whole experience made Subaru's determination for all of this even stronger so I trust that she'll be alright, even if it takes some time.


Hell, her tweet for Shion's announcement is already much better than it was for Aqua's.

I don't think I'll ever forget the pit in my stomach when she only posted "I just wished you would have stayed" and proceeded to say nothing for weeks afterwards. But I have faith that this time will be better. Hopefully they'll get to collab one more time.

Whatever Hololive is like, it's very clear that none of the graduated talents (even Rushia to a degree) feel they stand to gain anything tangible by commenting or otherwise discussing the reasons why they did so. Meanwhile other ex-corpos have practically made leaking details about their old corpo a marketing strategy. There's a level of professionalism there that's just absent elsewhere.

In the graduations i have witness at least for JP this comment always come around and their statement is always on line of "it would be to selfish on my part to ask her to stay" also this conga about they not knowing is getting a little annoying for me because i always observed all the graduated people have been making preparations for at least a year to start as indies, there is absolutely no way they did not knew

I made this post during her return from hiatus. Armchair theorizing that she has real mental health issues and that she needed to see a therapist.
I could still be wrong on the exact conditions, but, end of the day "just get over it" has royally failed. If you have mental problem you need professional help. Too bad noone in asia takes it seriously.

Only thing I hope at this point is not hearing about her killing herself if her post-holo stint doesn't work out. But retiring instead of forcing yourself to continue is a correct move

I can't really speak for whether it's the same for her or not, but being in a situation with the expectations of "Perform! Perform!" hanging over you as a career objective, even if it's a loose definition, can turn into an immense psychological pressure. Kind of making assumptions for her case here, but I can easily imagine a situation where she's unhappy with the expectations of the job, doesn't really want to work in that kind of environment with it, but also realizes how easy it is and is reluctant to drop it, along with the fact she's been doing this from a pretty young age for the last 6 years. ending up in a very damnable situation where every option feels like a loss. Stay and hate it, or quit and lose an easy cash option.

I'd wager that suicidal ideation is coming from the stress of staying in an environment she doesn't enjoy and she's hit a point where her own long term health is more important to her than any financial gains she gets from continuing to stay.

I don't know shit about her though so this is just supposition. Sucks to lose another long term member but she falls in the half of HoloJP I don't ever think of, the hardest part will be however it affects those I do know/like. I don't want a domino effect to take out someone I actually care about lol
