Ending was actually great.

On the last turn Kiara is ahead but Calli gets to Boo and if she steals a star Kiara will have the same amount of stars but less coins than Noel. Kiara begs Calli to pick Noel or at least do random. So Calli folds and picks random... and lands on Kiara anyways because that's Kiara's luck. But because Kiara landed on a red space for the last turn the final minigame was 1v3 and she got super lucky with it being one where she could get a lot of coins easily. And then she even got two bonus stars and won the whole thing. For once Kiara is not horribly cursed in Mario Party.

I didn't find anything Melody is the first vtuber I've seen blur their entire body and iirc not even speak on camera good opsec Mel

I enjoy the comments saying Mel is so lewd that entering Japan applies a mosaic filter on her
I haven't had a chance to put my autism glasses on but yeah it does seem like good OPSEC, whether intentional or not, even most of the shadows that could've been used for a body profile are obscured either by the blur itself or by one of the other girls.

I don't doubt the power of autism though so it wouldn't surprise me if some coomers went full blown csi and tried scanning local webcams etc just based on the location and relative time info from their tweets. I'm sure by now people have already figured out which fishing pier they were on lol

Tsukuni Luna from Project Solaria had it's contract terminated a few hours ago.

I tried to find any rrat about it and found nothing but because they terminated it without suspension it's probably something very serious.

This is what happens to your subcount when you react positively to a foot stream, apparently.

Youtube Shorts are the real hack to growing channels it seems. The Phase talents need to post a lot more if they want to grow.

Only a month ago Leti in Kawaii was the same size as all 2nd gen Phase talents. Makes sense as Phase 2 and Kawaii 3 came out roughly the same time, late July and late August respectively.

Leti is now just passed 50K making her the second largest in Kawaii after Nene and only behind Shiki, Pippa, Tenma, Luto, and Iku if you add Prism and Phase into the mix.

She’s posting like 6+ shorts a day. Kowtowing to the algorithm works.

The question is; what's the ROI? Can you even donate to a short? What's the correlation between subs gained by shortposting and donation increases based on sub count, compared to donations on a comparable sub count grown purely by streaming?

I feel a lot of people mistake pure sub growth for revenue generation. I'd really like to get actual numbers and a statistical analysis going on this kind of stuff.

Chicken speedrunning JP offline collabs (now Choco + Mel). Maybe a dumb question but why didn't she collab more often in person when she was still in japan? Some KFP please lists all of her offcollab before she moved back to Europe, I'm too lazy to do it myself.

It kills me ever time I see this exchange in a vtuber chat:
"My channel isn't growing!"
"Post shorts."
"I don't wanna!"

This is a concern. Miori Celesta has talked about this a few times. Her channel's sub count exploded due to music and coomerbait shorts, but that didn't really turn into CCVs or donations for her. It just brought in a lot of children who act up and get banned from chat. However, it does make her CCV go from 300ish to 1000+ whenever she does karaoke.

Honestly, I don’t think sub count is super indicative of a lot on platform. You can see that just by looking at some CCV counts of Pippa streams or some of the Kawaii girls’ ASMR streams. They are drawing as much as some of the less popular Nijisanji talents with a fraction of the sub count.

I believe subscriber numbers are way more valuable when looking at third party cash generation. Companies generally are more willing to put up investment money or sponsorship opportunities for those numbers.

Then again this is just based off my personal observations over the years. I generally try to stay off numberfagging unless it’s pertinent to the discussion. Take one look at /#/ on /vt/ and you can see what real numberfag brain rot looks like.

Also, to answer your question, it seems like Leti has definitely had a bit of an uptick in donations as well. I’m not an avid watcher of hers but I follow some of the other talents like Sava closer so there’s some bleed over of seeing information about the whole company. Whether these are new donators or typical parasocial whales splurging more to reward her for growth? That I couldn’t tell you.

I am going to guess the reason involves JP and EN branches having different managers and how they just never talk to each other, let alone grant perms and schedule collabs. As to why she didn't offcollab more though, I have no freaking clue.

The real best example of this is Shiki Miyoshino from PRISM. She played the Shorts game HARD when she started mid 2021.

She had a monstrous 100k+ subs pretty quickly, but that really amounted to empty subs with not much follow up. As of now, she struggles to pull more than 150 CCV on any given stream.

Meanwhile, compare this to Pippa who has just ground like crazy and only recently started supplementing her already existing viewerbase with Shorts

Realistically, I think Youtube has made a mistake putting so much emphasis on shorts. It doesn't really seem to do much for a channel unless it already has a decent community already built. They really need to stop trying to compete with Tiktok.

You get favorable treatment from The Algorithm, mostly.

That, and more views will equate to more ads which equate to more adrev, which whispers on the wind are saying adrev is getting a lot better for people and is becoming a larger chunk of a given youtuber's revenue sources..
