I'd strongly suggest standing by your content and republishing the videos you took down.

It's very telling they use the word "dox" for this kind of callout because it's the big scary word that makes normies think you're being more invasive than you are. Saying someone had another vtuber character or a personal twitter account will not leave them vulnerable in the same way a home address or telephone number possibly could. It's disingenuous.

I think the more reasonable approach with all of this, is he should've just made the videos public and the Patreon just if you wanna support.

I get he probs did the Patreon exclusive videos to make incentives of paying into the Patreon support. Which in a way I can see why bother some people, but still stupid to go full on scrubbing right now. especially when your ass is on the heat of the drama.

Most normies use the term dox in such a watered down way anyway, their use is probably accurate to the sentiment of the community at large (not those here or with more VT / KF backgrounds. There are definitely the kind of 'bad actors' that you are mentioning, but on the other hand I genuinely believe there is a decent amount of his community members that think this was a leap over the line. The paywall just made it look more malicious/calculated than stupid to anyone who was willing to give the benefit of the doubt.

I wish I had a solution but this really is a 'I fucked up moment.' And unfortunately making responses as @NolanCrush said usually just create a sword to fall on.
