I am going to do an end-of-year stream on the 30th of December. If anyone would like to make a nice thumbnail for it, DM me. I can pay in a free title, advertisement, or filthy lucre - I can actually do this now as PayPal has finally recognized my business account.
The red-headed step-child of fan games is getting an update soon:
More powerups and such, along with what seems to be 2 new playable(?) characters; Mumei and Kronii(or maybe Lui? I guess birds would make sense).
I still say what it really needs though is meta-progression, like Learn 2 Fly/Burrito Bison.
According to the last time she brought up FF14, she hasn't been skipping cutscenes. Even commented that she doesn't get what the appeal of Haurchefant is based on her interactions with him so far. She has been playing on mute, however, which people already gave her shit for last time.
As a 2.0 starting FF14 player that still plays the game, the early ARR story is pretty whatever unless you're really okay with the relatively low stakes events where you're effectively just a big boy mercenary at best for the first 20-30 hours. The next 10-20 are pretty heavy on medieval political stuff that is very hit or miss for some people. It doesn't really set in where this story is really going until somewhere between middle to end of HW or even Shadowbringers depending on who you ask. I like ARR, but that's because of further context in Shadowbringers that helps a lot of its weaker story elements feel relevant.
Haurchefant is really overhyped to be honest, his level of general appeal only makes sense to people who've been with his character since the start of ARR. If you replay the game now, he's fine and all but nothing super duper special. The difference between playing the game when ARR was current and binge blasting through it today is very stark on how you'll take in the plot. This plot was not intended for people to just binge through it like you can now.
Though who the fuck plays an RPG mute? Especially an FF game where pretty much every FF game ever has a solid OST attached to it.
Clip tax (I don't believe this has been posted yet), Axel found a Holofan's Japanese restaurant
Yeah, a lot of Japanese companies region lock their games, though they are usually still purchaseable through Steam, it apparentlt is not for this game. The Japanese version would be fine for her, except apparently the objectives are written in "chuuni-Japanese" so she didn't understand them lol.
You also can't switch languages, ofc. Nice work Bamco!
Any of you motherfuckers played around with PlaygroundAI/Stable Diffusion yet? Shit's kinda mind-blowing with the kind of iterative art you can get the AI to generate. Here's some examples on Watson:
Me reading about Shiina's mother:
Sad girl company getting even more sad every passing day.
Me reading about Botan's liver condition: Sad gi Yagoo's home for broken girls is more real than ever.
If Sana is still in contact with the rest of the girls (and she most likely is), do you think Kronii messaged her after the stream, saying something like "cool, but I expected a full netherite armor set"
That last Raft collab felt reminiscent of early Tempus. Would recommend if anyone liked the atmosphere back then. Not to say that current Tempus is bad, it's just the higher energy from debut isn't quite there anymore. YT link of stream here It's cool see a bunch of holo fan games being developed and maintained. Here's a few more that I found.
I'm sure some of you have already seen/played it. It gained a bit of traction when it released. A VN in which Kiara dies, revives, and Amelia searches for the killer. The plot doesn't take itself as seriously as it sounds.
I recommend Emico Otero's stuff on Youtube for a more serious atmosphere. They have a series of loosely connected Holo shorts. I really hope one day they continue to put more stuff out, even if it isn't chuuba related. edit: apparently it's an arg and some videos are unlisted Flare NuiNui Questitch.io link
Mega Man inspired game with 4 stages. It's 80% complete or "Only one stage left" in the words of the dev. Last update was 9 days ago with the addition of Ayame and Fubuki as bossfights, so it hasn't been abandoned yet. I think it's underrated, even if outside of being a Holo game it's not necessarily going to wow anyone. I haven't played all of it, but so far it's nice to see the effort put into this game. Pokemon hololiveEN Version A Tale of Lost Timegoogle drive link
Mild copyright issues... right. I haven't played it, but the trailer piqued my interest. I really like how some of these games take Ame's time travel and go all over with it. Giga brain move by Ame when she just introduced it out of nowhere. IMO Kronii could do so much more with her time schtick. Maybe she feels it's like stealing Ame's thing?. No idea what version this is on. Trailer released on Nov 2021, but last update was less than 24 hrs ago so, at least this is also being maintained. Post is getting too big so finally I'll mention Kevin Cow and Fie who both have made fan games that have been played on stream. Check out Fie's twitter accountto see more fan games in development. There are a lot more than I thought there were. I'm sure Holofags would be able appreciate a few of them even if it's just to pass 5 minutes of boredom.
Do people really send explicate messages to Rie? REALLY? Okay but I think it comes across as bragging Also how, in her Marrows? How are people getting to her if she's not letting them in?

What sort of prompt did you enter to get that character and art style? I've tried in a few of these saying things like "Hololive's Amelia Watson" or "Blonde female detective", "Blonde female Sherlock Holmes", "Blonde anime girl detective" etc. with mediocre to disappointing results in dalle-mini, the stable-diffusion demo, and now this site. I have this stupid comic idea that's Watson-centered and thought maybe i could use some of this AI art stuff to help make it. I dont care about it being great i just want to tell the story without looking like garbage.
I don't get this thing. I keep getting an error. I wanted to see what I could get by mashing a bunch of photos together of different white haired, red eyes loli. Maybe im just retarded.
I believe it does that when it thinks the image it has generated is pornographic or otherwise violates the content filters it has. Stop trying to generate Pippa booba thumbnails with it and it should work better.
edit: i did make this using an existing image as the base. kind of cool-ish though not quite what i was trying to achieve:
I opened a chat with Gura and got conscripted to help with scanning books for her library, and learned more than i ever expected about the astral world (in which the library apparently resides). I'm honestly astounded at the capability of this thing to capture her personality. It actually made me laugh at one point. transcript of AI Gura conversation
If Wonder AI replicates this, or better, our PippAI is going to be something else.
Also a chat with AImelia Watson taught me that Calli was her oshi, but she dropped out of Hololive early, so Ame went back and gave her encouragement and money for a new PC, and then decided to debut alongside her. Talk about a dream come true.
