I am all for total retard war. I'm skeptical that complaining about them not following the rules that you believed they needed to follow will persuade them to change their policy. Free speech is not something these companies or people believe in. I'm inclined to believe that it is not real anyway. Also "reaching out to the media"? You mean the industry which is part of the evil that has decided you are an enemy? That media? If he's talking about alt media, he should already be talking with them.

There will be some media sympathetic but even if it's not, as long as he can speak he might get a moment where he Cripplewheel's some WuTard live on television. Though he also has the option of reaching out to a lot of independent media as there are people who would be fine giving him a platform. Hell, even someone like Mental Outlaw has been fair when covering the homalands, but he's not amazingly well informed on the topic as he didn't know Josh had his own servers and static IP.

I expect a virtual youtuber, even if they don't call themselves that, to have an animated avatar that responds in real-time to some of the content creator's real-life movements - they'll move to the left and right, nod or shake their head, have some effort at lip synching, and so forth. They're not a virtual youtuber if they don't have the real-time responses for their animated avatar.

She was entertaining and I do watch her streams, but no. There was no "virtual" aspect to her character.
It's my perspective that she was a pngtuber working on a now completed live 2d model. I've tried not to push and discuss pngtubers unless they show progress towards actual vtubing like Sena or Sourgrape. Sena is a little more of an exception due to her progress also being tied to the evolution of FlaVR, but even then unlike some of the other members she has shown her progress in creating her model.
I've only brought up Sawa, outside of just a qrd, whenever she either shows where her current model is at, uses a place holder model like yesterday or Halloween, or shitposts about Pippa and other chuuba related content. Once Sawa gets everything together I will post her more frequently cause I like her voice work and think she has potential.
The closest I think you get to some ambiguity between png and vtuber is the toontuber stuff ScottFalco is currently working on. That in itself is very fascinating and has a lot of potential.
Following this conversation about what is or isn't a vtuber, what about people who stream both as a fleshtuber and with fully animated models like Yuka Misumi and Lilypichu.

Been watching the VODs of Shiina playing Faith and I gotta say I do not dig her screaming... There is a clear difference in different people's screams, because while Pippa's screams are funny, Shiina hits a frequency that's not as high as Pippa but much more grating...
