if we're about to get sex-pest (or similar) allegations, with his defense being "um ackshually" on legal technicalities, it's going to be a shit-show! because nothing says "caring about mental health", like a tweet chain directly saying he knows who's about to drop something on him, and legal defense implying that whatever they have to say are lies!
unfortunately, this is a "you can't have your cake and eat it too" situation: by all means he should have defense if someone is trying to ruin his life, but he's also treating it as doing the accuser a favor by letting them speak their truth, which sounds to me like a pre-emptive softening of the blow of whatever we're about to find out!

Let's say that what Takahata is saying is legitimately true - someone is doing gayops against him, and he knows who they are, and they're mentally ill to the extent that revealing this would have a negative impact on their mental health. I can understand feeling sorry for the person spreading rumours about Takahata in this situation, but that should not stop him from defending himself. Not only is Takahata doing a disservice to himself, he's doing a disservice to other people who are being impacted by this person's behaviour that Takahata might not even know aobut. I hate seeing suicidal empathy in other people, it truly disgusts me. People should not be afraid to defend themselves, regardless of their attacker's personal issues.
