I think most vtubers heavily embellish or flat out lie about their lives to appear more desirable. If most of what is said by vtubers were true they wouldn't be online entertainers. It is interesting to see most worked with kids but then again most are women.

the differance is Digimon never pretended to be based on animals in the first place.

the reason why people find the humanoid Pokémon annoying is even pokemon like jinx were always more monstrous looking then humanoid

Digimon on the other hand had humanoids from the start and also has a lore excuse for it too something a little more concrete then "humans and Pokémon used to be indistinguishable"

Digimon are affected / connected to the human world and so are affected by humans especially as advances in technology is made also there are just as many outright monstrous "humanoids" as there are "cosplay" types as well as just monsters in general.
