You do realize that this is a vtuber gossip forum and there will always be double standards. Some members in Phase have said shit that if other members in another corpo had said the same people would be lighting up their pitchforks.Yeah that's the thing.
When the talents say something bad, or their words are misconstrued or taken out of context to be negative (like with Lamy that one time) EVERYONE AND THEIR MOTHER is there with a microphone to broadcast the negativity as much as possible.
When the talents say something good, and tell people they, AT THAT TIME, aren't planning on going anywhere. They are suddenly big liars being manipulated by the corporate bureaucracy or the investors or what have you.
It's a very blatant double standard and I don't feel like getting berated for believing them in BOTH instances instead of just whichever fits my current narrative.
Hololive so far seems to be one of those corporations where we dont know much about how they operate. The only thing I can use as comparison is all the other shit corpos.
When it comes to talents talking shit about the corpo I tend to always side with the talent. I don't take their entire word as gospel like some of the "harassment" to come from other talents. I tend not to take those claims as 100% fact since more often than not it ends up being women being women and interpreting things in the worst way possible. Case in point Finana saying she got gaslight. Case in point Sayu believing that everyone hated her (and later on we learning that a few people did not view her as bad as she thought they did).Shit nigga, gues Dokibird and Sayu were lying about everything, and they just dramatically left cause Riku wouldn't fuck them 17 times a day. Oh wait no, trusting those two gets you more little red hearts on twitter, doesn't it?
How the fuck is the summary longer than the actual post? At most I just reply with 1 or 2 sentences per quote. The provided text is a forum discussion within the VTuber community, focusing on trust, intellectual property (IP) ownership, and online presence dynamics. Here’s a concise summary of the key points:
Overall, the discussion highlights tensions between VTuber talents, corporations, and fans, focusing on trust, IP control, and the challenges of navigating online platforms while maintaining personal and professional boundaries.
- Trust Issues (NeneLOVE vs. CalciumAnimal): NeneLOVE distrusts VTuber talents, citing instances where talents downplayed corporate issues only for problems like sudden graduations or mistreatment to emerge later. CalciumAnimal argues talents are generally trustworthy unless proven otherwise, as lying typically requires a motive.
- IP Ownership Debate (bothyourhouses, frz, MerelyTourist): Users compare VTuber characters to traditional roles like Jack Sparrow. VTuber personas are deeply personal, unlike roles written by others, leading to debates about talents owning their IP. Some argue talents should retain rights to reference their roles post-departure, despite corporate ownership. NDAs are criticized for limiting talents’ ability to claim credit, though Japanese legal reforms may address this.
- Social Media vs. Streaming Success (Phantasm): Phantasm questions if Twitter (X) followings translate to stream viewership, noting VTubers with large Twitter audiences often have low stream views. This is attributed to platform differences and minimal audience overlap, similar to YouTube vs. Twitch disparities.
- Corporate Contracts and PR (ZerroDefex): Speculation arises about Nijisanji potentially letting contracts for talents like Twisty expire strategically to avoid PR backlash during new wave debuts.
- Mental Health and Legal Action (Piava): A user discusses a VTuber’s stream addressing a traumatic situation, possibly involving a family member’s suicide, expressing hope for her mental recovery and potential legal action against a mental health institute.
- Kayfabe and Persona Separation (Phantasm): A VTuber maintains strict separation between their real and virtual personas, emphasizing kayfabe (in-character performance) to keep their identities distinct.
What kind of retarded response is this?but.... Oh wait your Axeheranice try weirdo.
1. What do I gain from lying?
2. I never claimed that what im saying is 100% true. Just a rrat/speculation.
