Can you name all of the minor players in any industry? Do you know or care when a fast food chain in Sri Lanka or Bolivia or Botswana goes under?
By design any industry is like a pyramid, there's the big players at the top, a handful (bigger or smaller depending on monopolies) of medium players in the middle, and an infinite pool of nobodies at the bottom. As vtubing continues expanding (watch hours have only continued to increase YoY) there will be more and more small startups that try to get a slice of the fame and revenue they see the people at the top get, and therefore there will also be an endless amount of shutdowns as these people drain however much money they decided to burn on this and quit.
