I'm reasonably-sure that Saya would be a lot more successful if she ever managed to overcome her personal issues and stick to a frequent and consistent schedule. She has all the makings of a great streamer, but then she just disappears for a couple weeks at a time, or only manages an hour/1.5-hour-long streams.

But from what i saw off of backreading, her issues were already there long before joining Phase and seem unlikely to dissipate.

Pretty much every discord has rules against shilling merch/discord invites.
The guy should have at least contacted a mod or gumpai herself if he was selling any kind of merch on her discord channel. He's free to do whatever if he was selling it in a convention booth/his own twitter. But it was in HER discord.

For example most hololive fancord I know of require permission before posting your own youtube clips because it counts as self-advertising, much less selling stuff. It is a rule that is rarely ever enforced, but it's in their rules list nonetheless, and I actually asked for permission before posting my clips. Unpermitted self-advertising is pretty much a rule on every public discord.

I'm very sure if you go on to any Phase Connect discord and start advertising/selling merch in their #general without permissions, mods there would ban you in a heart beat. And from the looks of it Gumpai wasn't even the one commissioning the plushies, it was one of her fans (that has been long banned lulw)

Everyone only sided with the guy because he has connections with Phase Connect, but Gumpai only talking facts here, he sold shit without permission and Vietnam is a poor as fuck country the guy doesn't need money if he's alrady dealing directly with US vtubers. It is very greedy and out of line what this Kusa did.
Gumpai's reaction to it was unguaranteed and way over the top, but she's on the right side in this "conflict".

Kusa got what connections she did with Phase (and other talents in other corps and indie talents) the same way she was about to with Gumpai: by making fanmade, unofficial plushes. Every other talent that saw the plush of them said: "this is cool" and shared the pictures on the twitter so anyone interested could pick some up. Gumpai decided to turn the easiest PR win of her life into a loss.

"Oh, there's rules against shilling in Discords" - this is for people shilling shit not related to that talent. Someone coming onto your discord to sell fanmade merch of you is not only something that should be fine with your Discord rules, but something you should show your support of as a talent.

What to do here was pretty simple, a hundred other talents have managed it easily enough. Gumpai chose to ram that stick into her bicycle, and has now fallen onto the ground, and I'm just going to enjoy her complaining how this situation is everyone else's fault except hers.
