There's zero chance they're doing it live. We have plenty of evidence of Holos talking about going to Japan to record lives long before they're actually released, and having mistakes in the choreography doesn't contradict the idea that they're prerecorded. 3D studio time isn't unlimited, and the audience is perfectly happy accepting imperfect performances, so there's no reason to keep doing retakes if they have something that's good enough.
We know that SOME of them are prerecorded. That only means that ALL of them are prerecorded if we also know that they use the exact same process for each live. That seems unlikely.

God her 3.0 is such a huge upgrade. The difference between this and her previous one is night and day due to how expressive it is.

I believe all the the performances were pre-recorded but I always imagined that even ignoring time constraints they would put the talents in an environment where they feel as though they're performing live anyways, like after all the practice sessions they only have one chance to do this well in front of some of the staff as audience and there won't be a retake unless there's a serious screw up.

Fairly sure this is Maeve Kagekiri. The account mentions soulslike and nearly every other stream Maeve has done is a souls game.

She also posted this last week:
View attachment 82168
That happens to be same number of days ago that the twitter account started being active.
:baeJam:
And there is at least one fan account in the replies who has only ever posted about Maeve.

Massive upgrade in rigger. Going from that Kevin retard to the person Doki uses was a huge buff. I still like her old model's base design, but it is hard to beat how cute Ayamy made her.

People said Doki's Garfield costume did mental damage. This is much worse....

I really like Cillia's rigging, it's super expressive and animated without falling into the titty bouncy castle trap that seems to plague a lot of indies. I'd just like to see a 3.0 version of her "weh" video now

Kira Lily karaoke.

Joysound for Streamers was released a couple days ago. (link won't work if you're logged in out of Japan)
Unlikely to ever make it to NA due to copyright fuckery.
Anybody in Japan can check what the prices are? They allude to a "Basic" and "Pro" monthly plans.

Usage terms & conditions and Streaming usage guidelines are kind of interesting if you want to rrat.

Basic plan cannot monetize streams/videos, only while on the Pro plan. This includes donos, memberships/subs, supas, and the stream/video cannot be members-only.
Interesting problem here - what happens when a streamer stops subscribing? Would they have to private past streams/videos that were using Joysound?

動画投稿に利用するアカウントは個人が所有および運営するものに限ります、個人以外が所有および運営するアカウントでの動画投稿はできません。
お客様が法人の場合、当社の許可を得ずに本サービスを使用することはできません。

Account used for video must be owned by an individual. Corporations need permission to use this service.

AZKi is the only holo to be using this for karaoke - does she own her YT channel while all the later holos' are owned by Cover?

Tsukimi Tsuki having her 2nd sololive right now. First 3 songs on YT.

Turns out when riggers aren't coomer-minded, shit looks a lot better.

Edit: I forgot the "n't"

unpopular opinion but I prefer her 2.0 design. 3.0 got too "baby" for me, looks like a completely different person wearing mint's wig.
The rigging might be better but the design, eh.

I think that is fair, as it is a matter of taste. Her 2.0 aged better than Doki's and the core design is essentially the same, so it basically comes down to which art style you prefer.

What benefit would doing it live provide that justifies the added complexity? In the best case scenario, they put on an equivalent performance. In the worst case, they get plagued by technical difficulties and fans are angry at Cover for ruining their oshi's concert. They don't make any extra money by doing it live, and they risk making less money than expected if a failed concert puts a damper on fan enthusiasm.
