Yesterday and the stream the day before have been pretty fruitful tests for Doob. She realized at least that her current internet issues seem to be falling into a consistent pattern (no issues for 30 minutes, stuttering for a bit longer, then no issues for 30 minutes again). The only time the internet properly let up was about 2 hours into the stream when after mentioned that she might be uniroincally getting DDOS'd the stuttering just straight up stopped happening for another 45 mins to an hour.

As such, no stream tonight, but she's gonna test privately to see if the issue may be a modem problem, and if it isn't she'll do another public stream tomorrow.
My personal suspicion is that her ISP is intentionally throttling her network - the way she described it (I have 60mbps when I'm not streaming but when I do stream it goes down to like 4) is a perfect example of ISP throttling. But of course, ISPs are bastards and won't admit fault unless the customer does everything they can to prove it isn't a problem on their side.
I guess we'll just have to see how things go moving forward. Dooby seems to be starting slow, which honestly I can appreciate, since getting into a groove and getting everything set up is really important to being able to actually stream and make a living off of it. And she can't exactly call herself a consultant if she can't figure out what's wrong with her own set up.

The problem is that Starlink isn't reliable for playing a lot of video games with low ping like she'd want. She did say she wanted to get it possibly but if she wanted to play, say, Counter Strike, playing with 100ms ping (minimum) is handicapping yourself horribly. She could try to set up Starlink for streaming and normal ISP for gaming, but doing something like that is insanely overcomplicating and would require way more effort than anybody would normally be willing to put in.she has fuck you money and is still dependent on her local ISP instead of paying for starlink? It's way easier to just try and get your ISP to fix the issue than anything else. A vast majority of streamers don't use Starlink, mind you, so it seems silly to go for a broken solution like that compared to trying to get your own ISP to fix it first.
A lot of people I know who are against AI voice acting just avoid games with AI voice acting. They're not going to yell and scream at someone innocently streaming a game... but then again these are people with lives, not Twitter Freaks.

Starlink has max upload speeds of 25 Mbps and ping as high as 60ms. You can't simulcast to Youtube and Twitch and play comp games that require low-latency on that. It is also a fucking Satellite internet service. The moment there is a slightly moderate amount of rain, the whole service is gonna go down until it stops. Packet loss all the time, and drops every 3-4 hours.
Doesn't matter for browsing or normal home usage, but will absolutely cuck broadcasting.
Some solutions: dual-wan with failover connection to starlink/mobile connections, but this is expensive af.
You can also host OBS on the cloud now, so you stream to that server OBS, which streams to twitch/YT - this prevents your connection drop from killing the stream.

They had problems for years, but the past few they've been pretty damn good, at least in my area.
I don't know how well they are across all of Phoenix, but they've definitely come a long ways in the past twenty years.

she could have done what some of the ID holos did, and pre-record a voice line + kiss that triggers at a $1k+ donation, so that when they least expect it they can be embarrassed about it live on stream - which, itself, is content!
No, it's VERY easy to setup split channel for different things (OpenWRT and MWAN3, or maybe vpn-policy-routing). And if she have dual PC setup already - it's literally effortless.
Also she can setup use cheap VPS for restreaming so stream won't crash and restart when connection drops or when she change uplink channel (like backpack streaming have it)
