I think it is crazy when you compare it to the actual 'established fanbase' of V4Mirai, whom people very much tend to overestimate thanks to their inflated sub counts. Most of them are low 3views who gained most of their subs through the same, though less egregious, advertising tactics. This new gen are close to half of what a HoloEN talent might get predebut, despite being in an agency that historically pulls over ten times less CCV than HoloEN. Compared to other small corpos with similar views, it's lunacy.
And to dispel this is some kind of Brave/V4Mirai groundswell support, the cheerleader hyena has had about 550k video views on YouTube in 4 days while simultaneously gaining less than 2000 followers on Twitter and struggled to rack up over 100 votes on a poll she put out yesterday. These ain't invested Vtuber fans that are subscribing, it's kids and tourists brought in by shotgun marketing that are highly unlikely to stick around (Or it could just be bots).
Also, the gen is closing in on 1.5 million views across their channels predebut. With YouTube charging a potential average of $2000 per 100,000 views, Brave may be forking out somewhere in the range of $30,000 just on these ads, which to me is crazy, but to Brave is likely chump change. They obviously doesn't care about return on investment and appear to be aiming for nothing less than COMPLETE GLOBAL SATURATION.
Maybe the next gen in 4-5 months time will have 80k subs predebut? How much money can they waste? How much to fake it til you make it?
