It's always some kind of engagement bait with these people. Intimate relationship issues are the kind of thing that prior to Twitter would be resolved in private, involving as few people as necessary. Making it a public moral spectacle like this lacks any sense of tact, and to anyone who isn't terminally social media-brained it reflects much worse on the party airing out dirty laundry for no reason than on the party who might have been a bit of an arse to their ex sometimes.
The fact that so many people feel the need to share and "signal boost" an unproductive callout about a literal-who years after the incidents supposedly happened, and see doing so as a kind of virtue, shows how deeply poisoned their understandings of human relationships are. Not everyone will get along, and sometimes romantic relationships, working relationships, friendships etc. fall apart. That's life, and the vast majority of incidents are more complex than "person A is abusive and person B is a victim". I get being upset, I get wanting to defend yourself if someone else is mischaracterising you, but the idea of launching a character assassination campaign (and that's what it is, the "don't harass anyone I mentioned!" disclaimers mean nothing, simply alluding to someone in a callout post is enough to hurt their social and career prospects) against someone over a personal disagreement is straight-up sociopathic.
If they did something illegal then tell the police about it, otherwise just get over it and move on.

I'll never understand why she didn't address it and say that she could only do a certain amount because the tweet blew up. It'd be much better then ignoring it completely. But I suppose the idea was just to virtue signal after Silvervale executed 400 trans people, rather then actually do anything to help anyone (not that Mermaids helps people)
