Maybe if enough people leave and they start collabing on their indie accounts I will be like if nothing ever happened.
Surely Sakuna, Lemonleaf, Dooby is salivating at the chance of collabing with Randon.
:magnicope:
I dont think anything changes if Hololive graduates even more girls. Even if senzawa, keekihime or shachi graduate and start collabing with each other alot alongside lemonleaf and dooby. Randon wont get any of them.
Even right now, Demondice has collabed with every random vtuber on earth, including a freaking hime hajime, but not Randon. Dottovu also showed 0 interest of seeking a Randon/Landon collab.

Sure a graduated Altare will collab with him but I dont think it is what we are talking about.

Sadly the vtuber world operates on cloud. If random wants more girls collab. Then he need more clout first.

I half expected Lia was gonna graduate this year. She took numerous breaks throughout the year and there were months where she barely streamed at all. Before Airi's accident happened and whatever's going on with Hina she had probably streamed the least out of all the phase talents, except maybe Saya.

Funny thing is that inputting even a single artist tag in the prompt (at least for NovelAI, haven't really played around too deeply with other stuff) is enough to make it not look like the generic AI slop, but 99% of ai slop posters don't even do that.
A lot of the "noticeable" ai slop is either people not changing shit or just using one of the few most commonly used checkpoints for that model. Even shit like hands and fingers have been fixed for years now, the only people still producing shit like that and sharing it online are either poorfags that don't have a half decent GPU or legitimate retards.

I get that most people hate males on stream, and I completely understand why: but at the same time, it's a crying shame that we don't get more Randon collabs.
The Nijification of male VTubers has been a disaster for the industry. I remember I used to enjoy watching some of the JP Holostars like our winning son Roberu, and back then it seemed like (outside of the unicorn/idol fans seething) male VTubers were much more collab friendly. Maybe it's just my perception, but it feels like the further we get into the VTubing bubble the higher percentage of male VTubers end up being either massive fags or sexpests - neither of which appeal to most men. The old guard with aforementioned Roberu, Aruran, and even some of Tempus like Vesper (but obviously not all... looking at you mr. Tenga) were more relatable to the average male viewer and therefore it caused less of a shit show when they collabed with a girl. Like I wouldn't have a problem at all with my oshi collabing with Randon, but I'd be mortified if she was collabing with a Niji or VShojo male... or worse, a Twitch indie male shudders.

Have I just become boomer brained when it comes to identifying AI images or do you really need to have a knack for seeing AI in anime pictures? The finger thing was the only one I could see because AI always sucks when it comes to creating hands and fingers.
If you noticed it, you get used to it, picking up the AI. Generally it's like what Agility_ said, that they always have that same similar prompt or poses without maybe different angles, and unless they tried something very different or they bothered to re-draw parts of it (or even all of it) to the point that it's AI-assisted, you could tell its AI.
There is still a style to the Ai art that makes it easy to tell. The colors are now the best way to tell. Especially light and shadows that don't make much sense or certain inconsistency with some colors being way too saturated versus others. Hands have gotten way better. You would have to basically fix a whole hand before, now maybe 1 finger might be off.
And alluding to the redrawing thing, the AI has becoming better at generating art that if you have to redraw you only need to do some part of it rather than say, redraw an entire hand just because it has too many fingers. And then some AI art generators even allow you to crop on the area and do another generation just to hopefully fix it.
Funny thing is that inputting even a single artist tag in the prompt (at least for NovelAI, haven't really played around too deeply with other stuff) is enough to make it not look like the generic AI slop, but 99% of ai slop posters don't even do that.

Even shit like hands and fingers have been fixed for years now, the only people still producing shit like that and sharing it online are either poorfags that don't have a half decent GPU or legitimate retards.
And even if they put on an artist tag (or using LORA that replicated artist artstyle), they often just chose the most popular ones or most distinctive ones, like say, hentai artists ones. Maybe it was easier, or maybe it makes the results looks better, but it caused people to not changing things around and make it more obvious.

Kinda like me. I barely tried to use different artist artstyle so the results has been same-y. Not that I care since it's pretty much done for shits and giggles.

tl;dr

She seems to not like the image she made for herself (I assume she means degenerate tumblr zoomer with questionable world knowledge?) but is trapped between either continuing it and further getting punished by youtube strikes, or not doing it and her numbers crashing and fans growing disinterested.

She has had many projects frozen or cancelled due to a mix of management being too slow to communicate or her worrying it won't be good enough and just freezing it

She was also demoralized by the rapid succession of small corpo closures this year, which she felt helped Phase in its first years stay lean and efficient due to actual competition. Now they're all gone, and Phase is doing good but now they're peerless in the industry and have nobody to really keep them on their toes. She is also just sad to see all these corpos and people she grew to see part of the vtubing ecosystem just die so rapidly.
Most of those make perfect sense. But she gets upset about the image she's made for herself every few months, and considering she has a fanfiction reading stream coming up, she's really not fighting it.

If it actually makes her upset, she needs to do something about it. But if it's more that she's self conscious that it isn't 'idol' content or something, then changing would make her miserable too. She could use some self censorship for the Youtube algorithm, but that aside, it's better for her to be true to her own interests.

It could be male but im mostly leaning towards it being a bait and switch and this are just false images of male gods which will end up being genderswapped female model reveals. I feel like male vtubers have been somewhat tainted by all of the sex pests and wierdos. I doubt Mythos wants to hop on that shit although I could be wrong. Only time will tell.
If it's a bait and switch Sei and Zeus are commiting to the bit

At least tweet doing good numbers.

Gotta wonder how many of the people who saw that tweet were introduced to the company for the first time by way of this fuckup. I almost wonder if it's some fake way to play the role of the villain to make the talents look sympathetic while ginning up controversy like some sort of pro wrestling storyline, but I doubt they're that clever. Either way they could gain back some good will by apologizing for this but they don't seem to have any interest in doing so.

What is it with tiny corpos (plus NijiEN) using their official Twitter account to try to bring negative attention onto current and recently-fired talents? It seems to backfire more often than not.

It's Santa Clause, He got shot down over the Israeli airspace.

No, he was shot down over Russia.

You think I'm making a topical joke in poor taste but there's video proof, released by Russia itself:

The text can also be customized, if for some reason you need to be dry-scooping other powders instead.

I do sometimes wonder if those chuubas who regularly do 12-hour-plus streams are consuming certain powders.

I'm referring to GamerSupps, of course. Hmm, yeah.

Thanks for reminding me of one of the greatest collabs in history and which shall never take place again.

Aww, look on the bright side. It could happen again! Bae might graduate soon!

Ren and Lui's covers dropped and they are both pretty good their voices compliment eachother well someone asked why these two would Collab and I was confused at first too but it seems to be just a matter of shared musical taste based on Lui's comment on Ren's channel Screenshot_20241230-022535.png

My guess is that these people don't understand the vtuber/idol sphere and only really know the general entertainment sphere where any eye on you is good a thing.

Re:AcT's Shishigami Leona premiered a cover song.

She will later have a watchalong of the Re:AcT Fes' Showdown with Sumeragi Rose and Marumochi Tsukimi. What I find interesting is the talents (Sumeragi Rose, Otogi Nemu, Coucourua Creil) got their 3D debuts technically in the year end Fes instead of their individual channels. This is similar to last year where Lisa Makoh got hers during the fes and showcased her 3D in her Youtube channel months later.
This year is a mixed bag for the corpo but looks like they stabilised in the end. Two departures this year is also a low number considering past years.
Early in the year their most senior talent, the last Gen 1 member Usami Yuno graduated followed by them terminating Mikoshi Taran's contract a few days later.
Lisa Makoh got her 3D debut in March. Quite a productive year for her releasing two singles and got a decent increase in numbers. She also joined Streamer GTA (SutoGura) near the end of the year.
Hanabasami Kyo got a bomb threat and death threat targetting her 4th sololive which is also on the same day as Usuwa Suu's first solo live. Re:AcT backed her performance to go on with increased security presence. She also released a few songs this year.
Mizugame Mia went on a hiatus to focus on her mental health and returned several months later. She also participated in the 2nd gen live show with fellow members Hanabasami Kyo, Shishigami Leona, and Yumekawa Kanau.
Usuwa Suu had her first solo live. She also released two EP, one for her original songs and one for covers.
Shishigami Leona had her fifth solo live this year. She also released a few original songs. She participated in Vsai with Pakael and VSpo's Kuromu Yano but underperformed.
Another "graduation", Amakawa Hano from Re:AcT to the parent company mikai. Not sure what happened but it's implied she didn't want to join the newly created group Melty RIP with Tsukushi Aria and Kulaku Lie, had a mental health break, and ended up with this graduation. Melty RIP themselves continued on and got pushed by the company with their first solo live and three single releases.
There are three members breaking the 10k sub mark and got their 3D confirmed this year (Otogi Nemu, Coucourua Creil, Sumeragi Rose). They performed in the Fes with their 3D models.

Around four months after her termination, a person who is almost certainly Mikoshi Taran (indie Luluu Ria) took her life jumping in front of a train (can't really confirm 100% honestly, there's no way to confirm with people who know her that this is not a sketchek copycat). I posted about it in July after digging into the matter following a question from her fan in suuji.
A human garbage used the tragedy to farm reddit karma with a false sexual assault allegation but backtracked after not being able to provide any proof. The talents and the company got abused on social media because of this. Unfortunately in the English speaking sphere the falsehood was the most remembered thing, not information from TVA.

I don't really follow their gaming group but it seems earlier in the year they let their talents on Youtube (initially Twitch only). Not much happening on YT though the Re:AcT gamers did some singing streams at times.

They opened a Korean branch but I think they only streamed in the Korean only streaming service.
Re:AcT also opened their audition a few months ago for both their main and gaming branches (JP).

Momotsuki Hagu now independent from UniVirtual will be singing and talking at 8PM JST.

This is her first stream since last Saturday's graduation ceremony.

Shinotsuki Lupi trying to do a 108 song karaoke endurance starting 9PM JST.

VSpo's Komori Met talking about gaming when she was younger.

Looks like Varium is requesting information disclosure citing harassment of talents and fans.

Edit: Goddammit Re:AcT.
Re:AcT Gaming's Asagi Nagisa will go on hiatus.

Second gaming member hiatus after Sayo Shigure's in August.

Tis the season for brain worms at canada's coffee company it seems. Don't envy her on trying to change up her content as that can kill a channel. But she's vented about not wanting to do the zoomer stuff before so either she's resigned to it or she can't figure out what she wants to do.

Sakana did hire a few new managers this year so hopefully that helps. Also saw she said someone left her on read on a fashion collab so obligatory PIPPA ANSWER YOUR DMS!!!. :smugpipi:

But yeah 2024 was a rough year for vtubing. Niji shit the bed early on and a bunch of small corpos went under so 2025 is gonna be a interesting year for Phase as they thrived on the competition with their fellow small corpos.
