And I disagree. The once in the blue moon thing like Ame's Worms tournament or holoEN spelling bee is fine, but the collab spam Nijisanji does is a massive filter to me. I don't watch streamers, VTubers or not, for their rando friends.

But why not? As long as there's chemistry and it's entertaining isn't it all that matters?

Took 3 great events from the past 4 years to show what I mean. Corpos like Holo have the means to do one of these a month but considering how bureaucratic they are nowadays I don't think we'll be able to see this kind of elaborated shitpost with any frequency.
TL;DR EnReco wasn't for me but it was great, just do more of it.

It might not be something to look forward to unfortunately. Chloe's tweet uses 大切なお知らせ. When Holos announce good news, they almost always use 重大告知 or 重大なお知らせ instead. And if they use 大切なお知らせ, they usually clarify that it's something good right after.

Aqua's graduation announcement used 大切なお知らせ as well, though hers clarified that it was sad news after the stream ended.


I'd rather not jump to graduation right away. I know Chloe's had problems with her health this year, so maybe she'll be taking an indefinite break or something. She's also doing the Kanaken live with AZKi and Kanata at some point. That has no set date as of yet, so who knows. The fact that she's announcing it at the beginning of the stream is also a little weird. But damn, it sucks to see how worried the JP bros are even in the comments of the tweet itself. No point speculating too much though I guess, we'll find out in 2 days.

Because I don't find it entertaining? I don't want MORE collabs, even ones like ENReco or holoGTA would overstay their welcome if they happened all the time or lasted too long, which is why they are limited events. If they did them even monthly, they would get boring fast. I want exactly the level of collabs they currently provide.

If I found Nijisanji's collabs to be entertaining, I would watch Nijisanji. Some people can't seem to understand that more doesn't equal better to everyone. Just because you cram a bunch of people into a stream, doesn't mean it is automatically a superior experience to a solo stream.

My take about a climate that relies on Collabs is that it funnily hides how vapid alot of people can be
NijiEN was a great example where some people like Vox, Kyo, Finana or Claude suddently appeared to have an ounce of charisma solely because they either had a straight-man or had people more entertaining than them to fill out the dead air, or their more coom focused shit being less apparent due to how awkward it would be with other people.
On the other hand, Wrestlesanji and any time Selen and Pomu were together was liquid gold and provided one of the best contrasts within corpos so you cant even say its a holofag vs nijiYamanba take

early HoloEN had the issue of some collabs being kinda forced, especially the shipping, but i think they ended up being so geniuenly friendly with one another that it all turned out well by now, both Myth and Promise had some inklings of that but by Justice and Advent i think they handled it great, especially Justice, Gigi is a gem

Talking about nijiJP ones. NijiEn is a dead branch. Selen and Pomu would have never left if they didnt fuck them up so hard. But with both leaving and the blackstream the fate of the branch is sealed.

If I'm remembering right: The then-PRISM Yura Rikudou and then-Tsunderia Orla Gan Ceann, both Dullahans, were announced one after the other and set to debut a month apart from each other. Since at the time PRISM and Tsunderia were close and collabing, this let to a lot of comments from fans wondering why they both were putting out similar characters. I can't remember or find any talk from either of them being upset about it.
