There's another clip from earlier this week where she talks about eventually graduating and how she wants it to be a fun and happy occasion.


Maybe it's just a woman-in-burnout moment but I dunno. It looks like she put genuine thought into this and may go through with it. She said that while there are some remaining goals she'd like to accomplish, she's mostly done everything she wanted to do and doesn't think she can grow anymore as a creator. It feels less about numbers and more like she's exhausted and questioning if the corpo stress is still worth it. She said she's no longer gonna think long-term about her Hololive plans, which essentially means she's gonna ride the wave until she can't anymore.

I hope something changes and she either gets a burst of inspiration or even goes the Ayame/Shion route if it would help. But maybe it would be ideal for her to graduate if she truly feels there's nothing more she wants to do. I just hope she doesn't regret whatever choice she makes. Ollie is an outgoing sweetheart that deserves the best.

Another one for vshojo I guess, I like ollie but this kind of speech is the same one mysterio had and it was basically just a huge menhera drama fest smokescreen to get out of the corpo grind. There's literally 0 vtubers from Holo except chris and kinda sana who left vtubing forever, nijisanji also has a bunch. It really seems like most people who enter vtubing never actually fucking leave, they just stick around and take their bonafide audience elsewhere to be a less notable version of themselves, at this point graduations are not sad for me in the slightest. It's just "ah ok, see you tomorrow".

Honestly, after they get their 3D and have their showcases, what is there to reasonably strive for as a foreign corpo VTuber, if you have done everything else? If you are the type of person that constantly needs goals and something to work towards, but don't have the ability to reach the levels of Suisei, AZKi, Marine, etc, what else can you really do, but coast? For some people, the idea of that is just boring. The only real solution to that seems to be to move to Japan and just take as many opportunities to be in 3D stuff as possible, but even that seems to have a limit if you are not popular enough.

That being said, I don't think quitting outright would make them happy, either. You have more freedom as an indie, yeah, but you limit your potential growth ceiling an insane amount unless you can get absurdly lucky and somehow get more popular than you were as a corpo.
